Pet peeves: The return (Part 5)

More fillings due in my future.
Also, my hips/joints ache. Because reasons, apparently.

Irate Mechanicus vibes intensify
Free me from this fleshy prison…

If only we had things like reverse image search to make the stupid arguments fall flat on their faces u_u right?

I really like how it isn’t neglecting fans of the antagonists. Scarlet was a decidedly minor character in the original game with only a few scenes, though the DLC for the first part of the remake fleshed her out quite well and managed to portray her exactly as I imagined her.

I also like how even minor characters like Johnny and the Shinra Middle Manager received a major glow up (to the point where they’re easily amongst the hottest guys in the game…)

There is nothing minor about Scarlet that’s for sure.

Flawed meat mechs for our real selves lodged in the brain matter and nervous system. It’s as though we evolved wrong - as a joke.

Weird vulnerabilities throughout, defenses against some things translating into allergies to others, susceptibility to strokes, hip joint pain just from standing straight and lower jaws that are prone to outright fatal misalignment of teeth without dramatic medical intervention.

I could rant for ages about how damn stupid teeth are.

-Looks at the meat mech again. Starts screaming in Binharic-

i know i should

but change is Bad!!!

:gun: How do you struggle with making an ao3 account but allow them (avast) to eat your data?

That’s because no action is needed for Avast! It’s already on the computer, and uninstalling - or making an AO3 account - is an action.

pretend I’m in BG3, but I cannot make any standard or bonus actions ok

We need to work on your action economy, young man :pensive:

My old man passed about 2hrs ago, I am not sure how to feel.
What matters most is I said what I wanted to him and he didn’t have to suffer for months with cancer ontop of everything else.

I am deeply sorry for your loss, but atleast you managed to say what you wanted to him. I like to think that I did the same with my mom, but in my case it happened when I literally just got home from school, though I knew it’d eventually happen. And at times I wonder whether or not I still managed to say all to her that I had wanted, but, in the end I think I did… so I am glad for you that you are atleast sure that you did.

I wish you, all your family and friends and loved ones strength in the days to come.

So sorry, Aldru :pensive:

My Grandad is the closest I can relate; having smoked from his 20s to just before 80 (back when they thought it had health benefits :upside_down_face: ) it eventually caught up with him. He thankfully didn’t get lung cancer, but it was something else that hammered his breathing. Because he quit when he did we had a number of more years with him, but by the end he was basically bed-bound and… yeah, passing was the kindest thing, as sad as it was.
Condolences, sincerely.

My deepest condolences. As someone who has a dear relative currently fighting a losing battle against cancer, I dread that day.
I hope you and yours are okay, given the circumstances.
