EW is my second favourite expac, I am a simp for Zero

I’m not, its no secret I didn’t enjoy the story and the post end game story bores me too.

ShB was the best expac, I prefer HW after though.

I liked Zero so much that I put her in my TRP as Lintian’s voice reference. (In my imagination, Lintian sounds a bit softer and younger, but still it’s the closest match I’ve got so far.)

ShB, especially in retrospect, is the absolute peak of FF14 so far for me. The setting, the themes, just everything is :drooling_face:

As for EW, I loved a lot of the characters and how it tied up the major plot threads. I felt major feels in Ultima Thule, looking back on the journey

I think ShB has had the best story of all expansions, yes. EW is good, great even, but ShB is just a tough act to follow.

There is, however, one part of EW that I greatly enjoyed to the point of replaying it on New Game+:

Also if i wanted to do “sad bird girl wants to destroy everything” there are better games that have done that trope that I have played.

Not to sidetrack FF talks, but this reminded me of an actual peeve which is a bit weird. But every time there is FF discussions and

is brought up, my brain needs a second to process it. and Sadly not for a good reason. In Sweden it’s mostly known for being the name of a infamous(and sadly somewhat popular due to this) white supremacist music band that’s affiliated with our racist party.

I know that there’s a certain disconnect between gameplay and story but the way I play V as bunnyhopping around the city on double jump legs and then arm cannoning anything that has a grey circle on my minimap must be terrifying for literally everyone in the city. At any time, in any place, you could just explode. More than once I’ve just annihilated people having a chill barbecue or hanging on the beach solely because the almighty minimap deemed them legitimate targets for extermination.

There was a loading screen conversation about how the homicide rate of like 7000/year in the city was going down and all I can think is that I’m sure I’ll have racked up that many kills alone before the end of the game.

Sadly I couldn’t find if there is a stats screen for total people killed for me to confirm it.
