Weapons that are impractical are cool and very fantasy.
Cloud is only as cool as his sword is completely oversized.

Feels good. The video is now centered, screen space is used better, and I’m no longer distracted by white noise, clickbait, and shallow memes.
Which according to anime maths means that when they are all fused it’s five times stronger than the buster sword.
People say power scaling is broken but it seems to be working as intended.
Much younger me thought spell breakers were the coolest thing since refridgeration.
I exist only to sit and wait for games that have edgy support classes and gameplay that I enjoy in the long term.
Apothecary Diaries has finally started its anime adaptation, dropping three episodes all at once.
It’s good! Watch it if you want the adventures of a too-smart-for-her-own-good girl serving as a maid in the Not!Chinese emperor’s palace.
Aoi Yuuki plays Maomao.
I’m the opposite. I enjoy being the party’s utility belt, so I enjoy playing casters, especially wizards and bards. I have my entire spellbook memorized and live for moments when the party faces a problem and I can say with a smile, “Stand aside, I have a spell for that”.
The annoyance at the table begins when I cast my bladesinger’s signature spell, Steel Wind Strike, and it takes ten separate die rolls to resolve.
I’m a bit sluggish after staying up late to code an update to the Dalamud Snooper plugin.
And when things like that happen, I know I’m going to regret it next morning, and I know there’s no rush and I can finish the task the next day, but I get really irritated when I get pulled out of flow, and prefer to stay in flow until the task is done.
Still do NGL.
Yeah I enjoyed that on my Wizard playthrough, which was ambitious for my first time playing D&D. But I’m enjoying taking a more laid back approach to combat.
However, as a ranger I am the best tracker and survivalist which is very relevant for this kingmaker campaign. Also I’ve assigned myself as the camp cook so I get to do cool stuff with that.
Sick sadly so wrapped up in blankets and recovering.
Oh hey, mood.
Although I’m managing to brute force my usual executive dysfunction by having signed up for a Bolt Action (tabletop) tournament at the end of Nov, so I’m engrossed in painting miniatures.
Now I just have to deal with the resulting anxiety about participating and getting finished in time.
Yay, brains
Get better soon!
Twinblades are cool as heck btw. A scythe is also an incredibly impractical weapon, but damn reapers are vibey
Peeve about me.
My brain is so rotted that I start laughing if a camera zooms out on someone laying down while Baby Blue plays.
Oh and Death from Puss In Boots 2 had a pair of scythes he could stick together into a scythe twinblade. Never seen anything so based before in my life.
The Valenar elves of Eberron (horse-riders of the steppes) have double-bladed scimitars are their signature weapons.
