Yeah same, one of the reasons I kinda dropped BG3 is hearing about how the ending is sorta whiffed, so I’m hoping it’ll be better and I can have a satisfying conclusion to the story.

i’m not sure how close i am to finishing the DLC but there is a hard decision coming, i can feel it.
atm i’m just sweeping up the rest of the gigs and pyschos on the map. can’t be bothered with car stealing or police stuff

I think I’m probably happier just living with my choice, assuming I take the phantom liberty ending and don’t just end up visiting Hanako in Embers anyway.

I do recommend seeing both ‘routes’ (two endings per route) because both give separate Songbird backstory/characterisation, regardless of which one you think of as your canon.

There’s a point of no return for route choice and then a point of no return for ending choice on your route.
The PONR for your route is very soon.
Summary
You’ll be stood in front of a big machine next to Songbird, while you are disguised as one of the french netrunners. You either choose to side with Songbird or Reed. Make a hard save here/just before here so you can come back to it to change routes.
The PONR for your PL ending is incredibly obvious depending on your route and isn’t for a fair bit. There’s time after you do the route choice to still do open world stuff as well, you’re not fully locked into the ending for a while.
