I donāt really see why it needs to if Iām honest, outside of it sounding a bit silly. Weāre not beholden to American English, and we still -very- openly call cigarettes by their very British name so we clearly donāt play submission to the shortened form.
Likewise thereās slurs here that Americans, especially in shows where the characters meant to have some sort of British background, freely use and donāt quite get the severity of in our version of the language.
That said Iām sure both versions, alongside Australian, will merge into this messy soup like English always does and always has. Probably already started. So weāll see how things land then I guess.
Itās on my list of words like rapeseed oil where Iām like āfellas please can we come up with literally any other combination of lettersā

From my understanding it pre-dates the use as a slur by some considerable margin (similar to the shorthand variant being British slang for a cigarette - it meant a stick, and the six-letter variant was a bundle of sticks)

Anyway, this is always a funny story of mine back when I was like 10 and was talking in Estonian in game and tried to agree with someone in a quirky āyepā way, but turns out that was a slur for the Japanese and I kept getting confused why I was censored until I googled it later.
(also something something the way we used to refer to black people sounds unfortunately too similar to the n-word so now the word has that connotation with it and we have no good way of referring to black people any more)
AC6 run 1 completed. I got the bad/genocide ending first. It can only go up from here in NG+/++!

Like 9/10. Itās got some wee problems (some LCs feel way overtuned compared to the others) with it but itās really solid and fun. Thereās a good amount of variety with missions with some being very quick to blitz through and some taking longer.
Bosses likewise have a good amount of variety in design and challenge, though once youāve over the Balteus hurdle thereās fewer roadblocks. Itās definitely a bit of a gatekeeper to the rest of the game. I wouldnāt be surprised if it saw a nerf in later patches, though personally I hope they donāt if only because thereās going to be a significant portion of the community which becomes insufferable about ābeating it prenerfā.
A few weapons seem overtuned (2x Zimmermans, 2x Songbirds) but certain builds being stronger than others has always been the way in FromSoft games so likeā¦nothing new there. Iām not really engaging with the PvP side of things so I canāt comment on that.
I stand in awe of the design skills of many players who create absolutely insane emblems/decals. The customisation options are the best theyāve ever been, and frankly should set a standard for other games, mech genre or otherwise. Not being able to share the codes for them cross-platform is a bit of a bummer though!
Sound+music wise itās real good. The gameplay has been incredibly smooth and Iām struggling to remember when - if ever - I noticed framedrops. Likewise I canāt recall any bugs or glitches. Just an incredibly stable release considering its size and scope. Iām sure there are some, but if there are Iāve not noticed/had them.
Itās not perfect, but itās exactly what I was hoping for from an AC game. Iām more than satisfied.

Yeah that sounds entirely in character for fromsoft. Maybe when Iām done with a couple other games Iām playing atm Iāll give AC6 a go, just currently dealing with the dreaded steam library of unplayed games
Watched The Flash (2023).
Wow, this movie was dark. And thereās its problem. For a comedy movie itās too dark, for a serious drama movie it has too much slapstick humor. What were they going for?
