Pet peeves: The return (Part 5)

DC is plenty capable of having those quips in their stuff without Marvel, especially for the Flash.
The rules are: DC animation = good to great, DC live action = okay to watch casually to oh god please make it stop

the Batman movies were an outlier, mostly because they were very, very restrictive while not being very much bound to the comics

Probably the biggest misstep James Cameron ever made was not having Jack say this line as the Titanic finally sinks beneath the waves.

Could have been a much better movie but he made an artistic choice I guess.

“Uhm, okay, that just happened”, said Frodo as Gollum bit off his finger and took the Ring for himself, as the Quest came to hang by the thinnest of threads.

then he trips and falls down into a woman’s boobies and makes a funny face

pretty sure that showed up in both a marvel and a DC film but I don’t remember

Father… Is it… over…?
Arthas said, looking up at the spiritual apparition of his father, looking down on him…

“At long last. No king rules forever, my son.” The spirit said, an ethereal hand passing through the body of the dying prince.

“I see… Only darkness… before me…” His eyes closing one last time, Arthas: Lich king of the Scourge, lays dead.

“Uh, so THAT just happened?” Bolvar says.

In other news, while I am still on my replay of the command and conquer Generals series ( currently on the GLA campaign of Zero Hour), I noticed something funny.

At about 1:08 of the video, look at the roadsign.

And here’s the actual one:

I never noticed it in all those years, cause I was young, but I find it hilarious. Also love how the truck just has “Really Explosive” written all over it XD

A friend of mine who used to work in 3D and texturing said that sometimes it’s just easier for developers to buy the textures from somewhere if it already exists. So likely someone just bought it and put it in without checking from where it came.

But it’s still frikking hilarious :stuck_out_tongue:

Ah so that was the police trying to catch the escaped drugdealer. I know drugs is a problem but damn, do you have to strike the city with cruise missles all over?

Without spoilers. As of Act 3 should I trust the dream visitors’ offer in Baldur’s Gate 3?

this is what the american elections will be about, so I predict our elections after the next one here in the Netherlands will follow suit with how much they love copying american discourse over here - we’ll find out soon enough!!

no - you should never trust the dream visitor

Schijndel’s a borrowed shed now? I’ve never been there so would not know.

It might as well be!

Gotta love how later in the movie they blame it on a malfunctioning SCUD missle from the Belgians. XD

It makes sense, nobody struggles believing something from Belgium’d be malfunctioning.

What makes it more funny is that their army is in an even more deplorable state than ours. You didn’t think it was possible, but it is :stuck_out_tongue:
