Pet peeves: The return (Part 5)

Console players like me are winning. They just announced improved boss battles, namely Adam Smasher to make him a beast versus what he was in the base game. Matches his edgerunners portrayal and now has a sandevistan.

Maybe he will also hop on your head like you’re a goomba. Just like Rebecca.

This has always been a thing, unfortunately. Have memories of ambushing some scouts in some corner of Hellfire Peninsular and five minutes later we’re being chased about by three full guilds.

They already buffed him in 2.0, kinda funny he’s getting a second buff. While I wasn’t desperately struggling in my one-man-suicide-run on Hard in 2.0 it was occasionally a little dicey.

Not against it though. Just wish there were some more boss battles too.

RP-PVP is a cursed place, even in a dedicated community for it; something about trying to fit the ‘inherently cooperative medium’ square peg into the ‘someone has to lose this’ round hole makes people’s brains break, whatever the rules of engagement are

I think they’re actually reworking the fights versus just beefing them up. The gameplay they showed of Smasher looks very different. He’s a lot more mobile and aggressive.

Replayable car races just got announced but that doesn’t do anything for me, I didn’t love them to begin with. New vehicles including new motorcycles and improved motorcycle driving which is good because I hate how they handle.

Aerilen’s stance when the endless tide of human warriors rock up has always been “Look at what they need to mimic a fraction of our power.”

How are you meant to do this? Your entire world is shattered!

I’ll just roll dice for a LOTR character. My brain has kind of been oversaturated on the First Age anyway.

Outmaneuver your teacher by doing a presentation on Beren. And include Luthien with it.

Problem solved!

no songbird romance announcement

it’s so over

do we get an aurore romance though

But they did say that there’s going to be ‘hangouts’ with romance partners, whatever that means.

i don’t want to talk about aurore after my last session :sob:

“hey V do you want to go bowling?”

Had my first RP-PvP experience since BFA in the past week and it was… actually pretty fun, far better and less competitive than anything from BFA. There was a lot of give-and-take and it was a pretty fair experience.

If anything, the only issue was a personal one. I noticed that I dealt a lot less damage than I took, which ended up with my character being brought to death’s door during the first skirmish, while most of the enemies seemed almost unharmed. A few days later, I started to play a little less “fair” and the problem was solved.

I’m sorry to hear about your experience though. Is it just due to the opponents you’re playing with, or is it something else?

finally, V’s daily five hour sessions on Wii Bowling are going to pay off.

I am not sure. I think that something that could have fed into this issue is the mentality that NPCs are easily disposable, and my character, unguilded (OOC), must have seemed like one to the people I have written with in the near past.

Again, not entirely sure what the issue might be, but it’s been present enough these last few months for me to take notice of it and be at least a little bothered by the impossibility to RP-PVP without the Alliance doing as I’ve said in my previous post, in some extreme cases, even retconning their involvement in a storyline after being told to bring even numbers, or outright refusing to roleplay.

can’t imagine a world where i’d want to do the new hangout stuff with panam parker now that i’ve spent time with songbird and alex

BG3 New Epilogue Spoilers (DUrge)

Summary

If you accept Bhaal’s gift in the temple and then reject him at the very end at the brain, you basically get turned into a mad animal, killing (and breeding) at Bhaal’s behest, including slaughtering your celebrating companions at their party (or trying to).

One of the ‘dialogue’ options is “Piss yourelf”.

Shoulda hopped off the Bhaal-train earlier I guess.

What about hanging with Judy

kinda hard since she left night city

she is best girl though
