Pet peeves: The return (Part 5)

RPers pretending they wouldn’t include their OCs as main characters if they had the reins of the writing.

I can 100% guarantee that I’d enshrine Elly and a bunch of my other characters in lore if given the opportunity.

baine about to be out on his :peach: so akamito can rule the tauren

D&D DMs in shambles right now. Tolkien feeling a sudden burst of lightning through his grave. C.S. Lewis’ grave turning into a closet as we speak. Every writer–

As story director, my first decision would be to have the mandatory poop questline of the next expansion involve Akamito somehow.

Then he’d sit in a corner of the capitol hub for the rest of my run.

All the talk about this and him is a big reason for why I never even tried to get into the show or series/franchise at all. It is very off putting.

I wouldn’t. And if I did, my stories would be review-bombed.

I’d definitely make them bit parts - if you ever see Koralash the Werynless as a quest giver you know I made it x

The only reason I had any potential doubt

Summary

was because the ending kinda implied he didn’t actually fix anything long term. He wiped out 80% of humanity across the globe and within 3 years they were going back to war. There was no peace established from it, not really, and the ‘sympathetic’ characters looking on it at it portray that as a bad thing.

Then, at the very end there’s image of a kid going into the same type of tree that Ymir went into when she melded with the thing that created titan stuff in the first place, which had grown out of Eren’s corpse, indicating he didn’t even permanently rid the world of the titans like they thought he would, so all his killing kinda didn’t do what he set out to do, and that all the problems would repeat again?

But then all the characters seemed to be fondly thinking of him after the fact and thankful for the end, and Mikasa’s forgiveness/appreciation for him is framed as an emotional core to it, so definitely mixed messages.

I would and everyone would say “woah these stories are great! I love them!”

I’d make Lintian a side character in some Kirin Tor or history/archaeology related questline, with the ability to engage with her through optional gossip text, like with that red dragon with the dwarf visage. Then I’d gauge player reactions, and proceed from there.

That’s how it always starts for every writer. . .

Koralash would appear with both male and female visages, and there’d be a dialogue option of ‘wait weren’t you a man earlier?’

and their reply would just be ‘lol. lmao. gender.’

Vixi would probably be a warlock quest giver telling you off for trying to befriend your demons.

Still a better excuse than whatever Elminster throws out on the regular.
