Dew it!
Yesss
I’m sad that this series missed me in my formative years and is hard to find on bookshelves. I only recently started it, loved the first book, need to get into the others.

My phone is back to constantly restarting (:
I do not know what the latest android update messed up, but it sure messed something up.
A real crisitunity!
I’m done with the winter solstice ceremony!

(To clear up a possible confusion: I’m an atheist, and while I have personal rituals, they are purely secular; I perform them because I recognize their psychological value. I don’t believe in any supernatural forces, nor do I invoke them. Instead I make speeches about our heritage as a species and our place in the universe.)
Think I’ll leave the Gondians for later, already went through Astarions personal quest and just took out the returning villain that reeks of “how many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man”?
Touch underwhelming that encounter is, but it’s boosted a good bit by having Jaheira and Minsc in your party
Granted, being a buff/healing bard I had to use Ultra Instinct Gale to make the fight dooable
(I only just found out you could transcribe spell scrolls as a wizard)
Is this like the young adult dystopia fad that dominated the '10s after the success of the Hunger Games? I’ve never even heard of ACOTAR, so I’m shocked if it started this fad.
If you’re able to stomach gritty ASOIAF clones, I would give the First Law series by Joe Abercrombie a shot.
In order to test the waters and see if his writing suits your taste, I’d try the stand-alone novel “Best Served Cold” first. It’s in the same setting and spoils the first trilogy, but people almost universally agree that it’s Abercrombie’s best work, to the point where it’s getting a film adaption.
Stop reading fantasy romance novels then. If you are into Scifi, I can recommend Cixin Liu’s Three Body Problem series.
If you want a happy ending I suggest you only read the first two. The third is amazing too but it robs you of a sweet ending.
Had a dream of having my ears pierced non consentually. What do the internet psychologists and dream interpreters have to say about that one?
Idk but i had a reoccuring nightmare of a bear chasing me two nights ago, and it camw back in the next dream right after i went back to sleep after waking up from it.
I then woke up again because i realized in the dream that “wait a moment, this just happened a while ago, what is my brain trying to tell me”.
And then I wondered did I remember to turn my alarm on. I had not. After that I went back to sleep and slept like a baby. No bears.
In my dreams, if I have nightmares (very rarely), the common denominator is that I am usually being chased by either a Bear or a Komodo Dragon. It’s always one or the other.
Chase dreams are part of a particular stress response much like dreams of losing teeth but I can’t remember what causes it.
These are really, really good - really made me think about them even after I’d finished them for a while!
your posts about this are not making me feel good.
the foundry is the next and last major side quest i have left before i go after the third netherstone
So my phone is pretty much bricked. Thanks December for continueing to be the uncrowned worst month to exist.
I am so tired and pissed, I’m not sure what to do honestly because I can’t afford a new phone and no phone means I can’t reply to government mail either because we need a phone app to access it… I sure love how great and easy everything is… Not.
This Warcraft 3 researchable upgrade weirds me out.

A nocturnal race has to research their innate night vision? How does that make any sense?
Obligatory TV Tropes link: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YouHaveResearchedBreathing
It makes about as much sense as having to develop new smithing techniques in the middle of a battlefield that will immediately make everyone’s weapons better, even mid-swing. Which is to say, it is what it is
Hope things pick up for you soon
Also, if they mandate you have to use a certain thing, surely by legality they have tl ensure you can access said thing?
Or is this a case of “DWP, lol, lmao even, we make even Satan go ‘Hey, steady on now…’” as per usual? ._.
Maybe your phone can be repaired? If it’s a software issue, it almost certainly can be.
Android or iPhone?
Human footmen have to research how to hold their shields up and trolls need to research how to regenerate.
Trust it to be a mechanical thing, instead of anything related to narrative.
just reminded me that i remember there was a lore tidbit in War of the Ancients where nelves had a hard time time operating well in daylight
did they just adjust to that or was it retconned
Night Warrior/Black Moon elves have it even worse. They’re actually blind in the sun, that’s why they needed to cloak Darkshore in eternal night.

I made it up just now.
