Yeah, thatâs how that old Arthur C. Clarke quote goes. Wizards play an important role in that settingâs history though, so the comment is a little more meaningful.
reminded of the picture of âthis is my sauna, the buttons have rubbed off so I have no idea what they do but I know the order to press them to switch it on. suddenly i understand the admechâ

Praise the Omnissiah.
The first comment being âAbelard, upvote this peasant for meâ
incredible work, iconic, 12/10
Speaking of Rogue Trader, I played some more last night and
Act 2 Spoilers?
I got to the part where I found out the truth behind the former Trader's... appearances on the ship, and I got the choice to stop Argenta from executing a certain renegade psyker on the spotLike a good servant of the Emperor, I did not intervene and I think that was very cool
Not only that, but anyone who has worked in a single place for long enough ends up attributing personalities to the tools and machines that they work with. One desktop computer at the workplace might be a slow but reliable old donkey, while another might be extremely efficient, but rebellious if you donât pander to its particular quirks.
All of these eccentricities make sense if youâve got deeper knowledge about how the machinery works, but if youâre a layman, itâs really easy to think that thereâs got to be a quirky little machine spirit dwelling in there.
I find it incredibly hard to choose anything else, even as an Iconoclast - especially when experts in the party weigh in. Big shame
It makes sense, because
Act 2 Spoilers
Not only is she doing something that's very wrong by the Imperium's standards, and showing a complete lack of self-control with some of the most dangerous powers around, she's also directly responsible for a lot of issues on board of the ship because of it.In my game for example she was the reason an entire clan of shipcrew had gone insane, essentially, and had to be executed! Her lack of control is the direct cause for a lot of deaths, in the end - I mostly felt sorry for Vigdis, there, since she was her only real friend (until she got mad with grief, anyway)
Shoulda kept her alive so you could hand over the triple threat to the Inquisition for that sweet sweet chivo.
She shall live and atone for her services, in the name of the Emperor, but more important me, the Rogue Trader.
And if I tire of her, I can always send her to the Inquisition later. Or servitorise her. Execution by bolter is a waste of resources.
Steam achievements, I sleep
I think sheâd probably have died approximately three seconds into being in the near vicinity of a Sister of Silence anyways
Honestly, I felt worse for the
Act 2 Exploration spoiler?
Navigator I found on a ship that was supposed to bring me a trapped gift. The entire crew, except for him, had mutated because of it and he'd held the line with the few that hadn't gone insane from it - and he refused to let me do anything but take all of them on board with him, so I had to kill him (as bringing in a bunch of exposed, mutated soldiers is an exceptionally bad idea).I wouldnât put it in that specific storytelling format, but yes, essentially.
I had a dream that I had a 2nd hole in my nose from my nose piercing, like they had done the same area twice.
Speaking of piercings and dreams:
My exâs (still good friends) upper lip piercing just got really screwed up and theyâre having to have it cut out as we speak D: Piercings, why do you do this? They did nothing btw. It just happened.
I always dream about holidays and trying to come home from them but itâs always five hours to get to the airport and weâre still in the hotel an hour before the plane takes off. And my mum is like âWe can stay another few daysâ and Iâm freaking out like NOOO I WANNA GO HOOOOME!!!
I dream that dream every couple of nights, UGH.
House flies in Winter is one thing.
The apparently endless hordes that we canât track down the source of or do anything to stem beyond just keep swatting is⊠sure a thing ._. Wish it wasnât, at all, tbqh.
Leo, how is there cat hair in my mouse?
Well, what do you think? A cat wants to eat the mouse, obviously!!
I do wonder at what point as this meme-not-really-meme gotten popular enough that some writers might try to specifically make page 99 their âbestâ like with first few pages.
This cat would rather announce heâs going for a nap.
Depends on the kind of fairies. Itâs a very broad term these days.
