Pet peeves: The return (Part 5)

You may have to fight Locke for her

and I just gave him 4 attacks and the ultima weapon so good luck

from what i have seen so far he is in love with a dead woman that is being kept fresh in some weird guys basement

that flashback was hillarious btw. oh she suddenly got her memory back right before she was killed, the last thing she said was my name

yeah ok guy

locke has been accused of every crime except being a mastermind

man has one brain cell and it’s working overdrive

i am running around with a team of celes, locke, sabin and edgar atm.

locke is definitely the weakest of the four. sabin and edgar are doing gods work

Steal/mug does a lot of legwork, but he does scale into a good attacker (Sabin and Edgar do both do this well too), especially when you get him Mug and Genji Glove to steal & attack twice a turn

He has the genji glove equipped at the moment just so his damage somewhat scales. Mug will be very good when it eventually comes around I’m guessing.

I’ve just gotten my first lot of magicite so at least eventually he will be able to use magic as well.

Everyone can learn magic, so the difference between party members is mostly just stats and the one special ability they have (Celes’s Runic, Sabin’s Blitz etc)

the rite of passage is accidentally casting a spell into your own Runic, it happens to the best of us

this will never happen to me

reminder has been set

runic seems really inconsistent sometimes. does it only absorb spells that target her? when does it expire?

Next spell cast will be absorbed, be it ally or enemy, then she recovers MP based on the cost of the spell and whether she’s resistant or weak to the element

and this is one of many reasons why celes is best girl

Writers continuously forget that Feathermoon, the home base of the Sentinels and seat of night elf military power, still exists

my headcanon is that feathermoon is the military hub as a result of the war of the shifting sands and it was never relocated

otherwise it makes no sense that it’s on the other end of the continent and nowhere near the frontlines after the third war

There’s going to be a faction of them that are going to be antagonists, as was said in the deep dive. However, we’re going to have the rest of them as allies.

The old classic formula. If it ain’t broke…

Got Fridge Raider Poppers on my work break as part of a meal deal.
They’re dry as anything, it’s like hair covered chicken.

The last time I tried something like those (based on google images) they were so difficult to chew and sliced open my gums.
Not convinced there’s a version that’s actually good.

My One Piece reread has reached the end of Arlong Park.

It’s still peak, even if the fansub I was reading had a stupidly literal translation for Luffy’s yell after Nami asked for help.

Crazy that it’s like…80-90 chapters into the series. I forgot just how long it takes them to get to the Grand Line. It’s no wonder that when I was trying to watch it the first time I was flagging really hard by the time they got to Water 7.

The standard ones are like chicken flavoured sponges and I don’t mind them. This however? No. Too far in the nasty side.
