Also my peeve for the day is the term ‘expat’. Just say ‘immigrant’, fake hoity toity shenanigans
I just reached Costa del Sol last night and the tonal whiplash from minute to minute is both hilarious and perfect. 9/10 game. The last 1/10 was taken off because of that STUPID 4th Fort Condor mission. It’s harsh, but it’s fair.
I’ve only just met Yuffie in Under Junon. Just don’t have enough time to play and it’s driving me crazy.
Made a huge error in my ways though when I was talking to Aerith and she asked me if I remembered when we first met and I said at the church instead of when she gave me the flower, as if I haven’t played the original a billion times. Painful Persona 5 level conversation error that will haunt me for the rest of my days.
It’s probably a 9/10 for me at the moment too. I do however live in a state of permanent anxiety at what the team are cooking with the story and where it’s going.
I understand why Cloud is obsessed with Sephiroth too because if he said that to me I would also become brainbroken.
It’s a great glowup. Way better than what I was expecting which was she’d steal your materia in the opening act as a way to pave over the Remake->Rebirth equipment discrepancy.
Instead they simply didn’t, and said “nah you only got this much actually, deal with it” which, to an extent, I respect.
The entire upper Junon segment was perfect. Loved it. My only regret is that’s probably the last I’m seeing of Tara Platt in the game, and I miss her already.
i’m still very early in but i haven’t yet seen anything that they’ve changed that i haven’t been down with
the addition of junon previously being a seafaring republic that were at war with shinra is very cool lore. floating capital city that is strapped to a ton of boats? tell me more
frankly everyones talking about thesedays, tifa and aerith in those swimsuits. i want to talk about barret and his sailor suit. sorry ladies but this man is a god of drip
I’ve only seen Kalm and some of the surrounding area because cousin is really taking her time playing it (and has fallen to the FF7 equivalent of the Gwent-curse) but it does look nice.
I’ve put in for a refund on Rogue Trader on steam. Hadn’t installed it yet, and the more I read about Owlcat, along with their hastily edited recent recruitment goof/A.I. leaning, the less and less I felt comfortable about supporting them.
I mean, I have all of BG3 to play still, along with my considerable Steam/Console backlog, so it really is minimal effort on my part.
