Deliberate ambiguity is a mob boss tactic. Giving directives and orders without outright saying person X should do Y yo Z person is well established to be his active communication to subordinates since the 80’s.
You can’t be pinned if you didn’t outright say it.
They’re immune to hypocrisy in want of shame, drenched in internal biases. Hypocrisy is a weapon to be used as an accusation, pointing out flaws in the opposition and never acknowledged.

The US political system in a nutshell.
On one hand you got a party trying to turn the country into an ethnofascist christian theocracy lead by a cult leader and on the other you have old white men saying they will do a lot of things that never go through due to various issues like the other party or the very not subtle being paid by groups like the NRA to not to those things.
It’s a mess, but I’d still take the lesser evil over the bigger one

Our main newspaper here interviewed some guy outside who said exactly this and that he never even heard what Trump was accused of. When they presented his charges, said guy just refused to look at it because “its fake”.
Being incredibly stupid is one thing. Being willfully stupid is just as malicious as being willfully evil in my opinion.

Absolutely.
Like in the UK. No, I don’t particularly want Labour, as I trust a lawyer-turned-politician and his tepid Centrist nonsense about as far as I could throw the oik.
But I will vote for them, or whoever else is Tactical in my county, because the Tories are objectively freaking worse, and four more years after the 14 absolutely abysmmal years so far is actually disgusting to have to think about…

unironically heard people at work talking about how they’d rather vote conservative for stability than risk going with labour
it’s the wildest thing i’ve ever heard and as much as i try and remind them that this has been the least stable government in living memory, their fear of starmer is getting the better of them
i don’t think it’s going to be as much as a landslide as people are trying to hope into existence
