Pet peeves: The return (Part 6)

I want lots of things, Loras. Where’s my stuff?

Don’t worry, she’s just displaying her brat energy

Not this again

you are currently demanding that someone give you nice things, not beating the allegations atm

being entitled to nice things isn’t bratty. i just deserve free stuff.

It’s fine, it’s brat season because of Charli XCX.

For completely new RAM:
Check which motherboard you have (should be either on the bill or a parts list)
google the silly motherboard name you find + compatible RAM
If you want to be extra sure check the motherboards manufacturer and download their QVL (Qualified Vendor List) to double check if the RAM the handy online site told you is okay is on that list
Pick something from that list

Wait for it to arrive
Watch a youtube video or two on how to upgrade/replace RAM
Disconnect your PC from its life source
Follow the steps

For adding just another stick of the same RAM:
Check if your motherboard has free RAM slots
Double check on what numbers your resident RAM has. All the numbers in its silly little name. Throw that exact name into google to find if the sticks are still buyable.
Buy an exact copy of what you already have.
Check Youtube for how to seat them properly (on a four slot board it’s a free for all for only one stick and then either slot 1+3 or slot 2+4 for double, for three sticks it’s the first free slot in the row, so either 1 or 2)
Done

Same process but even easier with the GPU since you do not need to check much in terms of compatibility with your motherboard. Especially when you don’t switch it up between AMD and NVidia and just stick with whatever brand you have.
Just swap and upgrade the driver.

Take photos of how things are before you swap anything and things should go fine.

This is a lot of text but when you go and watch people do it you will realise: It’s plug and play.

Solution: Buy a bigger PC

Given how big GPU’s have been getting , that’s not even ironic anymore. ( I’m sitting on a 3090ti, which was already big, the 4090 was apparently even larger.) Next you’ll need a house to fit your pc.

Dragon Age trailer drops

Cartoon game style

its so over

Can you link?

Everything else is getting smaller though. So eventually those adorable mini box shaped PCs could be good to go for general use and then you just buy the GPU as an extra plug-in box.

I can’t say I’m overtly enthusiastic about that companion reveal outside of Harding confirming a dwarf.

But still time to be proved wrong.

Something about the tone/aesthetic feels just a bit weird for some of them?

I kind of like it. Not everything has to be DARK AND GRITTY AND IN SHADES OF BROWN.

Civilization 6 received similar complaints after the more photorealistic 5, but at the end of the day it’s just an art style.

I cannot say that I am a fan either but, ill reserve criticism for when the game is actually out, but from reading the comments it seems there’s more people who think it looks strange/MCU like.

For me, peak dragon age will always be:

Feels like a Borderlands cartoon parody trailer is a very common sentiment getting flung around right now. Idk it doesn’t match the gritty concept arts we got at all, its so cartoony it feels and looks like its making fun of itself.
