Pet peeves: The return (Part 6)

One trick is to use dogs. As epirus, among others, you can have access to units of wardogs that you can just mass (with a few defensive units) for almost no money and send to chew up rebels and trash stacks. The dogs are like ammo, replenished by next battle as long as the handlers survive.

An alternative is a support stack of low grade skirmish infantry like javelins and slingers that cost very little to maintain but do hideous harm if positioned correctly in support. Have them trail your main army or support city garrisons on the walls.

The right amount of information.

Nah, I think other than that it’s also to do with how you can now easily show bot-inflated likes etc. as ‘high engagement metrics’ with no way to point out this is actually from bots and thus sell more ads on your collapsing platform

People have such different experiences when playing these games. I keep seeing some people struggle with Amelia meanwhile she’s me favourite “disengage brain and enjoy the fight” boss.

I’ve given up on it for now and am relying on hopefully being able to scrub all the family and work drama off of it during my upcoming 2 weeks off from work
Just gonna coast by until then

I’m afraid it’s right here

You don’t want that, knowing my tastes.

I’m begging for another adpocalypse.

Facebook is just AI image generators churning out slurry to AI reply bots, an endless series of nothing that somehow generates money from advertisers who believe any of it matters.

Why do I feel like we’re sitting on a pretty big advertisement financial bubble?

It won’t come because the scandalous excess that caused it is now mundane, normalised and dare I say profitable…

It’s all a bubble. The house of cards is ready to topple and the system, such as it is, is incentivised not to consider it, making it so much worse when it does.

Why thank you.

Remember that show Daria back in the 1990s, wherein a fictional news show ironically mocked obsession with the ephemeral, the material, and the tragic? I don’t think that’s a parody anymore. In fact, we’ve degenerated beyond it.

I mean, i died a few times first try but don’t really have a problem with her either. Trying to think where I strugglebussed the most outside of the DLC and chalice dungeons, there were a few fights but can’t think of them.

But even now some bosses kill me even as a vet. Like last time I played Bloodborne freaking Cleric Beast got the better of me.

I mean also like, aside Ebrietas. Freaking struggled on her. So. Many. Vials.

i struggle with just normal enemies. i haven’t even fought a proper boss yet, just the mini bosses at the end of caves

Tell me how Margit and Godrick goes.

if i ever reach them. i haven’t even left limgrave because it’s too scary

They are in limgrave.
