Pet peeves: The return (Part 6)

They should have milked 5 harder by releasing Persona 5 Strikers Royal with Sumi added in it.

i never finished strikers. i liked what they did to make it feel like persona 5 even in that gameplay style, but the lack of social links really killed the vibe and i just couldn’t push through past the second area.

maybe i’ll go back to it one day.

man i dont even know anymore.

they could add her in the xcom spinoff but not strikers. makes no damn sense

now you’re just messing with me, cut it out

no, really. tactica is just xcom

this madness must stop

also i watched the second episode of doctor who and it was significantly better. hope rekindled

doctor who?

very funny jebanza-san

i am a troll of deep wit and mirth i know

It makes up for it with the design of the levels themselves - very similar to mementos in that the higher you go the weirder it gets

I had that moment where I moved from one section to another and the stairs there undulated to get in position and I felt very unsafe

me seeing visions of mara in my peripheral vision while i climb

the intro to a persona game is always a bit slow and dull so i will definitely keep moving forward. it certainly took me a few tries to get into persona 5

speaking of new starts. recently convinced a friend (finally) to give gw2 a go and it soothes my jaded soul seeing someone approach something with fresh wonder-filled eyes. (their obsessed with charr and i respect that wholeheartedly)

… The desert dude. It’s awful.

I was talking more in terms of the sheer amount of stuff that is there to do. The map is absolutely packed. I don’t remember the desert area being that egregious, but yeah I did not particularly love that zone either.

god i love the lion-tauren so much

the time my character said ‘if my father isn’t alive when I get there, i’m putting your head in a bag and setting it on fire’ lives in my head forever

Hissing Wastes is bad because 80% of the map is empty, everything else is in the small canyons and corners.

It’s also where it becomes obvious that despite advertised as such, mounts do not increase movement speed. (Which is also true. People went into the files. It just adds motion lines but isnt faster than running).

I like the bunny gnomes

ive a deep love for all of the races of tyria, even humans which are mildly more interesting than their usual counterparts elsewhere, but charr just do it for me. icebrood saga almorra lives rent free in my head for that language. “You can kiss my hairy :peach:.” you tell him queen

i also like them even when the world tells me not to. they have the best of both worlds of goblins and gnomes.

I think what helps is that they aren’t the super norm and in Tyria’s history have been frequent underdogs, unlike other settings where humans are the default and dominates everything.

The idea of them also not being natives is neat, as is their pantheon. Balthazar was a more fun villain than the dragons.

Is there a comprehensive list anywhere of all cosmetic things of interest in MoP Remix

Also there’s nothing important there, every sidequest is a nothingburger, there’s no interactions of note, it’s got sand. I hate sand. It’s coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere.

Hissing Wastes may, unironically, be my least favourite area in any video game ever.
