saw someones screenshot of timeless isle on twitter and saw the guild names “silent vigil” and “house of tarsias” and ended up immediately ageing 50 years

Why… does the Vigil ring a very faint bell of familiarity…?

they were a…actually i think they were the only… shado pan guild around back during MoP-WoD

Good lord I remember Tarsias waging house wars back in Gilneas around 2013-15 , during my early years here. I believe they’re at it again here on retail AD aswel.

I’m starting to think I’d be better off buying Owlcat games 3+ years later when bugs have been smoothen out, content that’s missing added (free) and DLCs are all out… I don’t hate the studio, I think they’re great! It’s just annoying that I have to weight in my desire to support a studio I like because their games and their general attitude towards the community with the healthy practice of waiting for all the content to be release and obviously getting it on a sale which doesn’t fully go to them since Steam takes 30% of it.

Ultimately I’m still gonna stick to the former and pay full price… But clearly I’d be better off waiting for bugs to be fixed, free content added and DLCs/Season Passes to be on Sales.

Pretty much every single player game (and a bunch of multiplayer ones) is better off buying 3 years after release. Better price, better patched experience, easier on your hardware.

The main things you end up missing out on is the conversation around it at release as people are gushing over their new game.

In the case of a game with the divergent mythic paths of WotR, buying it before it’s “fully done” with all DLCs etc. also helps space out the runs a bit. I’ve put 550 hours into WotR currently due to wanting to see the multiple mythic paths. Would I still feel the drive to do so if I hadn’t been dripfed new DLC content to come back to and encourage another boot up? Eh…maybe not? Big ‘what if’ question.

This has been my strategy for a great deal of games… Sadly. I only buy narrative/multiple choice focused or pixel art games day 1 these days.

578 Hours myself. I played all Mythic Paths bar Swarm-That-Walks, 3 accomplished with the secret ending and all crusade stats maxed out, 2 never finished like Lich or True Aeon. During the early days, I’ve been told and experienced myself some strange prompts that I never made in the past getting me an ending slide I never endorsed while others straight up never came up. Crusade mode was less a pain than its current iteration tbf, before I could save scum… Now I can’t regardless of army level, if it’s red your army’s dead.
The DLCs haven’t prompted me much to replay the game, especially the side story ones in Kenabres, Ulbrig even less so and god knows I recently tried but my heart just wasn’t in it. The Kenabres party might be worthwhile for sure, especially since Devil Path is getting the attention it cruelly lacks.

Speaking of single player games, Space Marine 2 Preorders are in and… It’s everything I hate about gaming. 3 days early access to the game and all the shabbazz you’d expect.
Screw you, eat a bag of Ds Saber and Focus. I guess my backlog will get shorter and shorter from now on.

i knew the revival of gilneas would raise house rp again but i didnt think it’d bring about necromancy.

litterally 2013

I bought a sleep mask because during the summer I tend to wake up with the sun, forcing me to roll over and try to get back to sleep so I can get all my hours in.

Unfortunately, I appear to have already learned how to roll it off in my sleep, 'cos the last two days in a row I’ve woken up at dawn with the mask just kinda…near my head.

We had this problem too. We installed dense window blinds and they helped, but my wife tends to sleep in a sleep mask anyway.

Wuthering Waves is pretty good desu ne

Impossible, since it’s gacha.

There’s too few characters at the moment for that to matter. Also you can Naruto run up walls.

i’m sorry breath of the wild/tears of the kingdom princess zelda, but your skyward sword counterpart still clears as best girl

I’m a Twilight Princess man myself. No stupid spell crud, can turn into a wolf and scare people… What more can I want?

I’m specifically talking about the character of Princess Zelda, I wouldn’t rate the actual game Skyward Sword as being that great. I just think her portrayal in the game is great and v. cute.

I’m still sitting here waiting for Nintendo to finally port Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD to Switch so I can play them. They’re fantastic.
