I liked her in Twilight Prince, simply because she was good with her bow on the last boss.
I’ve been iffy on them since there was a callout for them advertising/apaprently looking to use ‘A.I.’ junk in gamedev going forward. They were very evasive, so… until it gets made illegal/heavily regulated, having to rely on Sus.
I know Rogue Trader likely didn’t have any of that in it (hopefully), but between the price tag and the bugs, yeah.
Also, I haven’t even progressed BG3 yet, because of life, time, and my catastrophic game backlog heh.
I made a gnome hunter on mop remix and they gave me a boring cat instead of a mechanostrider pet ):
Someone’s been putting trash in our bin. Was just stood talking to David in the living room and saw one of the neighbours teenagers, ran out the door and told him to stop using our bin.
“There’s no other bins close by”, mate, you live two doors down from us, use your bloody parents’ one.
Yeah she was cool in Twilight Princess too.
Oh, apparently the ‘would you choose man or bear if ur alone in woods’ tiktok trend didn’t even start as a ‘would you rather’ question. Colour me surprised (/s).
that’s my peeve, because I thought that’s how it started as well
Women: yeah, if a random dude was around and I was alone im not sure I’d feel safe
Men, very smartly: oh yeah? Well what if [violent misogyny]
what kind of bear are we talking about
Why not both?
And then they yell at you as a class traitor for giving the answer you really believe in, instead of choosing the “expected” answer out of solidarity.
The problem was never men, and only somewhat was the expectations placed on men. The problem was always unexamined, unaccountable authority. The women choosing the bear sincerely shouldn’t be afraid of meeting a man in the woods, they should be afraid of meeting a man in his office. Almost nobody goes out to the woods to find a victim.
Speaking for myself, all inappropriate physical advances on me were made by people I knew, not strangers.
Most bears are pretty chill (with the provisio that you keep your distance as you should with all wild animals)
Usually people going into an area with lots of bears will carry bells so bears don’t bother them because unless you’re messing with their kids and/or they’re desperate their reaction to humans is to leave them be
Memes aside, many women are choosing it more seriously because of the predictability/unpredictability.
There has been a pretty stark increase in misogyny in the sort of general space, in particular in some countries like the US(Where this trend/meme originates from) quite severely.
With a bear, it will most likely not hurt you, and if it does, it will do what bears do. A random guy for many women is alot more concerning as there is absolutely no way of telling if he is gonna be normal, or alot worse.
And if it’s latter, the bear will atleast just kill you and do it fairly quickly.
The type of men who are and have gotten furious over it are the very same type of men who make women feel that the bear is the safer choice.
There’s only two bears?
I thought we were talking about bears the animal(and all their variety) and bears, the big gay men.
Not quite where I was going, but I see what you did there.
I feel like the man would be easier to defeat 1v1 in hand to hand combat vs a bear. You’re rolling the dice on both choices on whether or not you’re in danger as they could both either be chill or aggressive. I guess the man could have a gun and the bear is unlikely to. So many variables to consider before willingly making perhaps the strangest decision of your life.
I realise that isn’t the point of the question or the discourse.
I accept this answer. It is a good one and what I had considered.
If a bear wants you dead, you are probably dead - they are faster and stronger than you are
I distinctly remember reading a horrific story about a woman who was dragged back to the bear’s cave mauled but alive so she could be eaten by the cubs later. She was alive for hours and called home. She didn’t survive because there was no way to locate her, or something along those lines.
Obviously that’s not likely the standard, but that story lives with me forever for real.
