If I could have romanced Cassandra as fem inquisitor, I would have.
But for her, I just have to accept when she says she isnt interested while sounding gayer than shes ever sounded doing so.
Bless Cassandra.

they should have let you romance hawke
Have been romancing her on my recent Dalish-turned-Andrastian-ala-Ameridan Inquisitor and I’m shocked I never did it sooner, she has such a great romance (combined with the fact she’s one of the S-tier characters in DA:I). Honestly, all of DA:I’s Andrastian characters are great, they did a good job with the theology in DA:I.
city elves are the dumbest concept ever thought of and i’ve never seen it done well, be it in roleplay or other games. they all feel like a sera who also has this idiotic ‘head empty, no thoughts’ writing trope attached to her which makes her even more annoying to listen to
DAI by its very nature is the most theological game in the franchise, but they also handle those themes very well.
Mother Giselle was a constant pleasure to talk too and quite honestly I would have made her Divine if the game actually allowed me too because yeah, she gets it, she gets the [entire point and message] of Catholicism Andrastianism and she doesn’t talk down to you initially if you don’t believe and even if you do start off as a believing Inquisitor she still challenges your own point of view on it.
“Andraste had the simpler task, that magic must exist to serve man and never to rule over him, but those words must be put into their proper historical context”. Bless you Mother Giselle.
You’ve heard me more than once exclaim how I’d reroll leo into a dracthyr if they got a troll visage form
I do like that DAI discusses what faith means. It can be used to inspire hope, rally people together. It can bring stability and order. It can provide comfort.
But it can also be used to spread fear. To control, dominate and conquer. Faith itself can be both good and bad, its a powerful thing.
Also agree on Mother Giselle. Great character.
I still don’t have a rebuttal for when she was speaking with the Inquisitor post-Haven in the camp, that moment ever since lives rent-free in my head as an frustration that I have no answer for.
“I escaped the avalanche, barely perhaps, but I didn’t die.”
“The people know what they saw […] or perhaps what they needed to see. The Maker works both in the moment and in how it is remembered.”
Then there’s also:
“A farmer, a noble, a warrior, and a mage will all see different aspects of the Maker in their lives. They must each hear a story that will reach them… and each of those stories is valid.”
Mother Giselle disapproved of me vibing with my good friend Dorian of House Pavus, she stinky.
I can’t imagine why the Magic Must Not Rule Man lady might get bad vibes from the mage from the mageocracy :V
He’s a good boy, Koralash.
Saw a twitter poll recently, unofficial, about if given only the choice between siding with Tevinter or Qunari in DADWolf who you’d end up going with. Over ~1500 votes it came out to…
Qunari - 20%
Tevinter - 28%
Try both - 28%
Solas plz - 22%
I doubt they will force such a choice but you never know…
God only knows what she’d think about the Nevarran mortalitasi.
The Qun believers are gonna be real distraught when they realise in the trailer there’s Qun flags flying over an occupied antiva and that Lady who says “we fight for everyone, the crows rule antiva” was probably saying that in rebuttal to a Qunari who is currently [occupying their land].
Anyways my vote goes to the Chantry, Tevinter WILL learn its lesson.
My honest reaction when Dorian says his family has slaves but then he tries to follow it up with “but I didn’t PERSONALLY have any as a child in that household AND we treated them KINDLY”.
i do love me Qun
(yes this does track poorly with my love of cultural freedom and dalish/mages in particular why do you ask)
he does make a reasonable point when comparing slaves to serfs (they are functionally the same and suffer at the whims of their social superiors)
this is not a pro-slavery post this is an anti-serfdom post
Maybe Tevinter should have tried just not having Warhammer Dark Elf-tier slavery!!! Serfdom is bad in other parts of Thedas sure, but people are also largely free and, more importantly, aren’t used as mass casualties daily for blood magic rituals and other horrific tevinter slavery experiments.
Maybe Orlais should stop committing cultural and often literal genocide on the elves!!!
Thedas ain’t a nice place
I can fix it, I say for three games straight as things progressively get worse despite my fixing.
surely just one more world saving hero/champion is all we need to really put things right
