Pet peeves: The return (Part 6)

Eugh! Really? I guess I could have done without that bit of knowledge thank you very much

I like visages a lot, but there is a lot of missing space they could use

Like the Aspects’ visages being just a little cracked, a little more draconic, because their power is not easily contained in a mortal form

Or an expansion of the idea of a visage form being a healing one (dracthyr visage form has massively increased out of combat regeneration)

Things like that, there’s some space

Humans are to Furries as Dragons are to Smoothskins.

Alex is a certified freak, and was lucky her consort matched her wavelength

I am still not used to this being shorthand for Alexstrasza and not my IRL name

this is why i loved the incarnates visages. humanoid, yes. but far more draconic/non-human. even with how humanised they made vyranoth’s. gods we were robbed of razsageths :pensive:

similarly i do like visages, i like the notion behind them, just i do wish there was more variety with them for drachtyr. give me pandaren or troll visage

I would swap to a vulpera visage (sand and rock as an augvoker is PERFECT for them) immediately

honestly vulpera visage is big brained af. moreso than gnome or goblin

Their relative lack of sexual dimorphism is also nice as an enby

“Are you a boy or a girl?”

“Thank you for asking! : ) no i’m not”

“Neither. Im a mugger now put your stuff in the bag and you can keep your tendons.”

This is the best answer to a surprising number of questions.

Being a bronze-focused dracthyr is like

"Hey, wanna see me beat up that tarasek over there?

Wanna see me do it again?"

According to the current trends in Stormwind it’s all about chugging growth pots and being a bouncer at a bar and trying to ERP with other oversized lizards.

I can forgive many things Vixi but the amount of hoops I need to jump through before Sera starts being remotely non-annoying is too many for me to bear getting to that point. I get what they were going for, its an Elf raised culturally and socially in a human society with an impoverished background where she saw nobility continually increase the suffering of the people.

But I just can’t handle her voice, mannerisms or largely incoherent thought processes on any situation I ask her about. The scene on the roof is good, because she starts giving you an actually legible conversation to react too but unfortunately afterwards she goes back to speaking mostly nonsense.

If it helps, I’ve known people like her in real life and was still able to become friends with them. A Vivienne, on the other hand, I’d likely find insufferable.

See, I agree that Vivienne can be insufferable, but at least she’s insufferable because she’s actually knowledgeable about what she’s talking about. She’s insufferable in the way that I, a mere mortal, would find it insufferable when a quantum mechanist starts giving me an in-depth, educated discussion about quantum mechanics whilst I look at them like they’ve just kicked my dog.

That and she’s willing to have the conversations with you about the Inquisition, Mages, Templars, the politics of Thedas, Orlais etc. and actually gives you an interesting back-and-forth as to what it all means and makes you question some of what the game has been telling you.

If you’re understandably miffed at her for botching the mission she arranged and sent you on, the only options are to fluff her up (she learns nothing), tell her off (she learns nothing, but now disapproves of you), or kick her out of the party.

And while that may be good writing for her character, I’ll still call her annoying for it.

See, I find her cute :frowning: which only progresses the more involved you get with her. She has some adorable scenes and moments.

Im a Sera apologist.

finished tears of the kingdom

the ending alone really elevated it, despite my mixed opinions overall. my only complaint aside from the dungeons being lacklustre in breath of the wild was that it’s ending segment was really lacking and anticlimactic. tears definitely fixed that and really had me hyped

great game. just wish it wasn’t banjo kazooie nuts and bolts

Unfortunately, small and slightly annoying women who could kick my :peach: is exactly my type
