People being annoying and wrong and annoyingly wrong about last Jedi has just cemented my view on it from ‘very good’ to ‘the best Star Wars film’

Not sure I could call it the best, but it does live rent free in my head for having some really fantastic moments. I liked what they did with Luke Skywalker and will die in that hill.

Sure it has some missteps but so does every other Star Wars.

Glad to see Canto Bight return in Outlaws, even if people hate that entire sequence from the movie. It was definitely the weakest area, but I love the design of it as a sort of Monte Carlo planet.

There was stuff in it I didnt like very much, but the overhate it got has made me like it out of spite.

And you know, unlike both RoS and Force Awakens, it actually did to try and do something new with the skywalker saga instead of just repeating the same storyline over and over. You gotta give it points for trying.

(It also unlike RoS didnt have the “you are only special because of blood”)

I think the entire sequel trilogy was bad, but if I had to name the least bad movie, it would be Last Jedi. I’ll take a bad movie that at least tries to tread new ground over a movie that plays it safe and does nothing but tell a story we have already been told, except worse.

Remember how Order 66 was supposed to eradicate all the Jedi across the galaxy and then it felt like almost all Jedi survived it except the ones explicitly shown to be kiled on screen?

I watched it with two friends and our review scores were 9/10 (me), 6 or 7/10, and 2/10.

Order 66(and the empire) is like night elves in WoW. They both follow stairshed’s law.

Every new movie, game, show or comic book just keeps showing more Jedi that survived the supposed extermination of their entire order.

Even in older times, around 2% of jedi were supposed to have survived, which is still a couple hundred.
I don’t mind it, they do have religious monk magic to live on.
I just won’t trust anything that says it’s the last. It’s a lie!

the last jedi was bad but it’s the least bad out of the sequals because the first one is just a new hope with a different cast and the last one is beyond terrible, the last jedi at least tried something new and was okay in its best moments vs mediocre in its best moments for the others

the only actually good new star wars movie is rogue one and the only actually good star wars series is andor btw

Rogue One’s first half drags, but its second half is good enough that everyone forgets about that.
