dragon age veilguard
shouldnât that be DA:VG or something
iâve heard of it but iâve never seen that acronym
dave sounds funnier.
by all rights it should still be Dadwolf
Please kindly stop overusing the word âboomerâ to mean âanyone old enough to have already been an adult by the time social media appearedâ.
Itâs alienating and othering.
This is how I feel whenever people talk about anime or console games.
HOMM is fantastic and I love the franchise.
Even if the lore and plot is crazy.
are you going to watch the lotr anime
strictly itâs called The Veilguard not just Veilguard but no one calls it that. Really it should be DATV, but DAVe is funnier.
No. Itâs basically fan fiction, and I have no interest in attempts to turn Middle-earth into a Cinematic Universeâ˘.
Iâll watch the second season of Rings of Power, even if I donât expect the writing to be any good, for the visuals and music alone. Thatâs it.
To me, the definitive version of an expanded Middle-earth is LOTRO, both aesthetics-wise and story-wise, but good grief is it boring to play.
Marvel and its consequences.
Not everything needs to be a cinematic universe, a dozen tv series, a prequel and so on.
Its weird because I do like the exploration aspects, crafting system(farming especially) and quest dialouge. And some mechanics like the hobbies and loot system is great. So is the reputation system.
But the combat could do with a complete overhaul. Its the combat alone that makes it obvious that the game began development in 1998. It is so slow.
its funny how often combat seems to be peoples biggest gripe with an mmo when every other aspect of it they can enjoy. most people who wont play lotro hate the combat. most peoples biggest gripe with swtor is the combat. xiv? its pre-70 combat. gw2? its combat. eso? you guessed it.
it astounds me how wowâs is somehow the only one functional enough its never anyones complaint with the game. mythic affixes dont count.
Seek out contact with the nearest grass tuft.
HOMM and DOOM and 100% boomer games and I played each of them as they came out.
I like to lean against trees and run barefoot on grass, does that count?
Slap
HoM&M2 came out in 1996, itâs a Millenial Game, get in the seeeeaaaa!!
(Game 1 came out the year before. Theyâre Millennial. Weâre in our 30s now!!)
Itâs funny tbh, the lotro one, because -at least to me- lotro has one of the best classes an mmo has ever come out with. I canât speak to what it may currently be like but the Warden was genuinely one of the best classes Iâve ever played. Three buttons to make a functionally endless combination of abilities.
And the hunter was great fun, just had a bit of a learning curve. But playing with los meant you could pretty much faceroll everything.
WoW is ok but I think the reason it never really gets complaints is because of that. Itâs ok. Itâs middle of the road, not great, not bad, just ok. It never advances or pushes, so there isnât anything to remark on by most.
Elf behaviour
I really like playing Lotro hunter and minstrel. Beorning is also quite fun.
Not tried warden yet.

Reduced the health and damage of Shadowlands raid bosses by approximately 65%.
Imma be like a basket whale, scooping up transmogs.
Actually on the topic of Lotro, I have seriously considered several times to do a server transfer to Arkenstone. I have always played Laurelin, but it has its issues. The server has experienced several dramas and a mass exodus of roleplayers. Allegedly the core group that remains are rather unpleasant to outsiders and newcomers. And more than once Ive seen that poor behavior along with the bad part of tolkien elitism in world chat. Content is also very small in numbers.
Arkenstone meanwhile is apparantly very healthy both population wise and roleplay. Whats holding me back though is nostalgia and everyone I know on Lotro are on Laurelin.
These are good changes.
They should now do the same to Dragonflghtâs raid bosses too.
