Pet peeves: The return (Part 9)

trying to now get him to scratch a vertical cardboard scratching post so he stops attacking my sofa.

Speaking of anime elves, I don’t even watch anime, but I’m peeved that their ears point sideways rather than upwards.

Less elf, more dumbo
I does look cute when they’re short enough but the long version is a bit odd

Counterpoint: dumbo rats are the cutest kind

Waiting on some greenstuff to cure on the Titus conversion.

Because of how awkward it is to get hands on this miniature, and how awkward the original pose is/was to work with, I’m finding it super stressful going ._. Also the rarity of some of the arms/replacement parts I have.

I think it’s almost to the point of, if the leg and body stuff I’m working on right now doesn’t work out, I’ll just take the monetary loss and try and go and get another one, then simplify the conversion down to just the arms and tilting the body (which I didn’t want to do originally as ā€˜not enough to change the pose’, while underestimating the work required…)

Would have helped if they had just made a better sculpt to start with…

Typical indoor cat behaviour. The cat-ness just builds and builds in want of an outlet, explodes in a half an hour zooming and then the battery is spent.

Rogue Trader Act 3 now returning your gear to its previous equipment state after you recover it is so nice as a QOL boost. No need to painstakingly re-equip everyone and hopefully do it right and not forget what went where on who.

Now if only they let you bring everyone to it, because I do feel remarkably ā€˜locked in’ for basically every party member (Yrliet mandatory, plus Jae, Argenta, Idira for story, plus romance option for romance). Sucks to feel like I’m missing out on kinda notable stuff just because some characters are slightly more notable than others. Got no idea what Kibellah’s stuff in act 3 looks like, just because I didn’t feel like I could squeeze her in.

It’s weird because they even have an area where you can swap in/out your party members. Ah well, maybe with DLC2.

Also unless DLC2 brings a really cool new set of tier 1+2 classes, I think pyro/biomancer psyker (operative or warrior?) executioner is the ā€˜final’ rogue trader build. All of the DoTs.

Also I understand why he’s not but marzipan being a warrior->assassin and not blade dancer->assassin is eh. Definitely feels like he woulda been if the class was in at launch.

I imagine DLC2 will bring another Soldier-esque tier 1 and 2 class.

Don’t remind me of my lost children.

We badly need to it legal and social requirement to wear a mask on a train. I don’t, and I can’t imagine many do, enjoy the idea of coughing McCough face spreading whatever they have around.

Course we should also make it an accepted culture that if your ill you don’t go in to work but that’ll need such a massive social shift and legal backing it’s functionally impossible at the moment.

If I have the occasional sneeze I’m really, really not ill to an extent that I can’t work (in fact, I’m quite literally just the same but I need to blow my nose every now and then) - something like this would easily move me from precisely 0 sick days to like two full months at the least
