Sorry Dragon Age, all other games were just going to be filler until you arrived… but having now finished Metaphor’s demo I think you will now be sidelined. I did not expect it, but here we are.

I once got almost my entire school (teachers included) sick and my parents still didn’t learn from that
and on my last train ride into the city I was chatting with my mum (at a very, very reasonably low noise level) and coughing mcgee from across the isle found that really rude. how dare people talk, meanwhile she kept coughing into the open air for everyone

AC Odyssey done - I give it the highest honour I can bestow an assassin’s creed game, which is ‘it was okay, I don’t regret my time playing it’
It was a game with some cool ideas wrapped up in a lot of tedious busywork and frankly really weird things

I sat on this for the better part of a week because nerves were like “but what if someone makes fun of me” but probably best to just get past it and throw it out there.

playing through HSR and honestly, the option to be an absolute goober in every dialogue option is tickling me, i love it

the demo pretty much told me how the reviews were going to drop. it’s really good.

honestly feel like i might put off VG as well a little over it. i was hesitant to start a new game before it came out but this is selling me a little more
it’s flown under the radar quite heavily, i’ve barely seen any marketing for it at all. the only reason i knew it existed was because i’d played persona and moved in those circles
hopefully the reviews will get it the attention it deserves, but the marketing has really let it down
also probably let down by it’s name to some extent

noticing thats becoming an issue with actually good sleeper hits lately. look at transformers one. still in shock it might actually be saved by moistkritical posting about it.
the names a bit of a…hard sell yeah but i like it. has some oldschool fantasy weirdness too it that appeals to me specifically
I’m weird in that ac odessey ranks in my top 5 games ever. It’s stupid cheesy camp and makes no sense but I love it. That it itches my quasi autistic need to repeatedly do the same thing on repeat for hours also doesn’t hurt.
Metaphor might appeal to a different subset of people that got into Persona, except they made the protagonist look like a Persona character complete with what looks like an elaborate school uniform.
It took me about an hour or so to get over it, after which I got absolutely hooked by the setting and the tweaks to the formula.
Dragon Age might be a banger too, but unfortunately since I’ve already invested about 8 hours into this from the demo and it comes out on Friday I’ll be choosing to carry on with this instead. It is an Atlus game too so it’s likely going to be months before I finish.
