I love her because I want to be her and if she notices me maybe she will take me to the top with her.
Sharing a boot to lick with bae
i see your vivienne discourse and raise you a zevran fancam
I on the other hand am kinda into it - while I wouldâve liked AW/KE 3.0, my Rook is going to be the Inquisitorâs Grey Warden twin sister. Them both being martial mages but the Inq being KE while Rook is a Spellblade is a nice little twin-difference. Similar, but not the same.
Marzipan von Rogue trader Zevran von Dragon Age on being assassin-type characters who the player really has no reason to let live other than that theyâre a party member (and therefore have content attached) and theyâre hot.
Zevran has his moments, but it is a very unfortunate Bioware writing situation that the first queer/bi man in the franchise is written to be a walking sex-pest joke and plays very heavily into certain stereotypes.
âomg look what they did to our boy in DA2!â [picture of zevran in DA2] [picture of zevran in DAO]
Both pictures look bad
just different flavours of bad
the poor guy had to suffer in both engines
I do at least appreciate that heâs into Wynne. Her being a âgrandmaâ (late 40s/early 50s though you wouldnât believe it from how sheâs written and how everyone talks about her) doesnât get in the way. He still says her boobs are nice.
Yeah I think Vivienne discourse falls under the same sort of banner as a lot of Mage/Templar discourse about Dragon Age where people just make weird comparisons or willfully forget everything
Vivienne acknowledges the Circle she was from was better than most and wants other Circles to be like that while at the same time finding oversight to be a necessity
I think a lot of Mage vs Templar arguments, done to death in DAâs fandom, tend to almost always end up with people depicting the mages as a tragic oppressed minority (which is certainly true) followed by drawing lots of real life comparisons, but real life oppressed minorities donât turn into uncontrollable violent demons that slaughter towns the second they let their guard slip up for a second. Itâs like the X-Men antimutent racism allegory all over again. Mages are born inherently more dangerous than anyone else! This doesnât mean that they should be treated like dirt or that it isnât terrible how theyâre treated by society as a whole, but good god man
âŚtbf it seems to be recurring in characters he voices. Telaryn knows. Darien GautierâŚ
if he doesnt feature in veilguard with a glowup the likes of which weve never seen illâŚillâŚbe mildly miffed
I liked Wynne, but I disliked how she was only meant to be around 50, but the writing treats it like sheâs close to 90+ and completely decrepit, old and wrinkly.
Templars are both oppressor and oppressed, raised as child soldiers and hooked on addictive substances by the Chantry to keep them controlled.
It shouldnât be mages vs. templar.
It should be mages + templar vs. chantry.
Church bad.
ishgardian rpers would like to know your location
Divine Leliana shall ensure that the Chantry runs red with the blood of the oppressor.
Yeah, and this is what makes them really compelling as a faction imo, itâs a fantastic dynamic (especially with the Chantry using them as scapegoats, too!)
her entire modus operandi is killing anyone that disagrees with whatever she wants to do as a ruler, she is quite literally an oppressor
There was a missed opportunity to make the Inquisitor the next Divine.
A human inquisitor, maybe, but I feel like the player character in general in DAI is a little too separated from anything Chantry-related, despite it all, to really be in a place to gun for that position or want to gun for it
iirc there was a cut ending where that was possible.
qunari inquisitor divine would have basically been the most controversial ending possible
Make my Dalish Inquisitor the next Divine and sheâll make hardened Leliana look like a moderate
Lavellan Divine laughs while the Chantry burns?
