Pet peeves: The return (Part 9)

can someone explain to me why roundtable is on fire at the same time as the tree

i have no idea where it’s actually located in the world, except for the empty “copy” of it i found in the capital when i was there previously

Don’t worry about it

Dont worry about it

idk guys it’s kind of hard not to worry about my hub being on fire

More seriously. This roundtable hold is basically manifested by the erdtree as sort of a memory from its better days, a replica outside of time and space of the actual one you find in the capital. When you commit arson, you burn the hold too.

That’s not a copy - it is the Round Table, the real one. The one you hang out in is actually a fake construct/remembrance created by the Erdtree. When you burned the tree, it burned the table in turn.

…probably.

why does the erdtree want a memory of the roundtable hold occupied by tarnished who are actively trying to become elden lord, but then refusing those tarnished entry???

i do not understand this game.

you’re like ten minutes from the end of the game but the long and short is one big power wants you in there and another one doesn’t. Thorns are the latter, Grace/Round Table are the former.

my whole life story is just being told what to do and doing it no questions asked with 0 context

i still have to do the sewer underneath leyendell that someone told me about, maybe katylinne?

not sure how long that’s going to take or how long it will take to get back up to the erdtree now the city is all ashed up and they’ve taken my sites of grace away

So much like marriage

Oh wow even more so.

can i skip the sewer and just go straight to the end. i really don’t know if i have it in me to explore a whole other area

There is nothing in the sewer that is core to the story. It is a side area with one boss at the end. It’s a fine boss, but without spoiling you already kinda did it elsewhere already.

It’s got the Dung Eater too, but unless you’re doing his ending and being a literal :poop: chomper, you’d probably just stab him in the gut immediately, so you can leave him locked up safely.

Also it has some of those death blight basilisks in it iirc.

If it were pre-tree burning I’d say do the sewers, but now that you are where you are I’d be pushing to the tree to finish the game.

Unrelated peeve: People saying “I thought it’d be easier to speak on the phone” when they call me out of the blue for work.

It has never been easier. Every time I’ve turned down the call and forced them to message via text, it has been extremely simple and took 30 seconds. The call would never have been easier. It would always have more time and effort.
