Pet peeves: The return (Part 9)

can’t wait to see some of them on vulpera/tauren

If you edit them a bit to fit certain races, sure.
But some will look bloody awful and there’s enough jank in the game.

I do wish some allied races got a bit of extra love though.

It’s jarring to check how some of them have nearly as many options, if not more, than the regular ones.

Then there’s a couple of the allied ones that have maybe 3 options (including hair/skin colour) and that’s it.

Speaking of which, I actually can’t believe the night elf Mohawk is making a comeback.

If I hadn’t experienced it myself back in the day, I would have thought it had been a fever dream due to there was NOTHING left to acknowledge it ever happening.

Could you imagine if they brought back the “What’s your game?” commercials again in 2024.

I’m not sure how that would go, because that mid 2000’s vibe they have have NOT aged especially well.

Yeah, i double checked it and you’re right. Must have mixed something up.
My point still stands though and if that wasn’t enough, as it turns out in wrath they also had Hammer of Justice ability (used a dk’s Rune Tap icon), until it was removed at some point between then and now.
In other words, there is definitely a precedent for undead paladins of not “special” kind. I really don’t see it as a far fetched concept and it all depends on how it is roleplayed.

In an ideal world, if blizz were to give forsaken the option to be paladins, they would come with a set of altered visuals for the spells, i.e some kind of dim sickly looking light, or shadowy versions of thr spells, but at that point all other non cothl paladins would (rightfully) want their special flavor visuals and blizz isn’t gonna do that, so sad times.

Giving different races unique visuals for their classes seems like such a no brainer with how druids and shamans have it to some small extent.

Yet Blizzard has never done it beyond the totems and animal forms.

Among other ad campaigns from that era, I’d argue it aged really well. It’s silly and campy, it’s frosted tips and goatee kinda vibes, and not “Rayman has a huge wiener” or “id rather play Gameboy Advance than bang this hot chick”

Honestly it’s the perfect time to bring something like this back with Y2K aesthetics being back in fashion.

I hate this one because Ozzy lied to me. I genuinely thought you could have multiple demons at once and its part of why i first rolled warlock!!

It’s not aged poorly in terms of it being like…actually bad or harmful. I was more talking about the real cheesiness of it :stuck_out_tongue:

For us who watched them, it might be nostalgic, but for newcomers I imagine they look pretty bad.

Edit:
