Petition to Remove Raider IO from Game

Of course RIO is stupid. RIO doesn’t measure your skill in the slightest. There are lots of boost sellers that run you through +10s and above to give you an artificial RIO score.

Then again if there is no RIO people will just come up with another arbitrary system like Gearscore back in the day.

You guys know you can hide your score right xd… Just log into the site, pirvacy and set all private, done,. I do the same, but I do check others :D. PS I have a score of 750 or whatever, haven’t done much in BFA yet, few 10+ keys here and there.

I’d never take someone that hides their score. At best it means they aren’t confident enough to show their accomplishments.

I don’t look at score. I look at the highest dungeon the person completed on a hard week for the key I’m posting.

If raider io was banned, someone would just create something just like it. If you are upset about raider io, ask yourself how good of a player are you? Gear level does not equal skill and raider io is not perfect but it is a way for people to try and filter out players they have to carry in high level keys.

Remember that the goal of a mythic dungeon is to upgrade the key so some players want to simply go through the content and not worry about anything else.

If you are upset over raider io, create your own group or only do mythics with friends, guildies, or join one of the communities for people who just want to do mythics and relax.

OK, so the guy not even competent enough to use something so basic as paragraphs, is complaining about a system measuring competency.

Bigger problem is that m+ is too good source for gear. This ties it together with other ways of progression. It is a must do in many cases.

Then you get the situation that “everyone” must do it. Good ones and bad ones. PEople who like it and people who dont like it.
It has timer so picking less than optimal people is bad.

While my distaste for rio exists, I know the actual reason is the m+ system and the way it is implemented in the game. It breeds toxicity all over the place. People will use third party numbers like rio to determine “you are good” or “you are bad, noob lol”.

At the moment m+ is just a problem generator which will stay there so blizz can keep esport going. It will also keep dungeons more relevant. Ect.
Im not saying its existence is all bad, but its implemented in a less than optimal way.

Opinion.

i feel you, i hate Raider io myself but still using it, or should i say, im forced to

this what we call a “game” is no longer a game, the game definition doesn’t apply for wow anymore

it became more like a job imo, content becoming less accessible, guild requirs you to apply on a website before they accept you to see your “degrees”

and you cant play content like mythic plus or raiding unless you got that “degree”

its NOT the players fault, the Devs made it that way sadly, they create systems while not thinking of how this system gonna affect the community

Out of topic, most of the people on the this forum are gonna play the game no matter what the devs throw at them, they will eat everything happily.
you can see how many of them in your topic, ignoring what the real matter is

The problem is that we get keys and you only get 1 chance to do make it. It is not strange keyowners want to choose the players they have the most chance to finish the key in time with. But raiderio is very very very limited in showing that. Especially when players want to progress through the difficulties and play multiple characters.

The solution is just let players pick their own challenge. I have no idea why that whole keystone-system exists. It should be challenges you want to face, and maybe even want to try to rerun to fix mistakes from the previous run.

When everyone would choose “Freehold” for the highest key done in time, blizzard knows they have to balance something. But I am sure people would like to try all the dungeons and not just 1.

Right about time when wow went into uncontrolled downfall and other mmorpgs started to thrive to the point when the “to go mmorpg” is FF 14 atm .

but im sure that that 1 % of nolifers will thrive when subs will be down to 100k .

Yep, it is indeed as toxic as gearscore. Love the name, by the way.

So yet another AddOn fostering problems. Color me surprised. Luckily they do Relaunches now.

rio&logs are the best thing that happened to the game and allow us to play with thousands of players from different servers.

You can also just make your own group and invite whatever you want or socialise and find friends/guilds.
Its you who chose to go random and the only reliable source to choose players is rio score/logs.
Yes the 1200 rated player can be bad but the chance is much higher the guy without any score is worse =)

If your brain cant process this then i cant help you anymore.

Only delusional people cry about rio

ps even your glorified old days you first came to IF bridge to get checked or dalaran middle later on for gear&achievement check

I like RIo. You wish to be invited then you should start building your score by doing low instances.
You can’t expect doing +10 with a +2 experience and demand people would carry you. You need to show them you can, their game is safe with you and they are not going to waste time and loot with you. The more you improve the key the more loot you get.
So RIo it’s your CV basically.

Completely disagree.
People will find a way to figure out if you’re good, nobody wants to play with bad players, or quitters.

I think the only people who want it removed are people who don’t want others to see their actual track record.

Well, we also should not act like raiderio is that fantastic. There are a lot of downsides, like the amount of scoring for dungeons just 1 second out of time, or 3 chesting. Or the need of having every dungeon done since the total score makes you get invited in a dungeon. The addon is not showing the real experience of a player of that 1 dungeon you want to do.

But although it is crappy, it is the only thing we have.

  1. You can run your own key with any group you want.
  2. People with their keys can do what ever they want, so they have right to know who they inviting for the run.
  3. There are plenty of groups not asking for IO.

Yep :+1: it’s called Raider IO.

Nobody serious just invites because of score. But its a first filter like Curve for raids. so you only have to check these people on the page

Git gud…
