In 1.12.1 there was two type of riding skill: Apprentice and Journeyman.
Will we get this update in Phase 6 or there will be only Horse Riding, Tiger Riding, etc.?

We already have the nerfed patch
Money etc.
Pre nerf training costed a lot.
Apprentice 0-75 (40 mount riding)
Journeyman 75-150 was next training.
You could ride epic mount with 0-75 But at slow speed + Mount was cheap and not training. So u could buy all colors
Nerf is 0-300 and mount cost a lot
According to the 1.12.1 patch notes the Apprentice and the Journeyman riding was the last stage of the riding. So actually that was the nerf because as you said you could buy mounts much cheaper (and the riding was more expensive) and that helped a lot for mount collectors.
There is no real reason to change it imho, there is virtually no influx of new players into Classic who would be influenced by how they get their mount. On an alt, what does it matter what the 1000g from the main gets put into, skill or mount?
I mean, it could get changed in Phase 6, but honestly, who cares? The 5 people who set up macro to summon random one of the 900g mounts in your inventory?
The system will be changed when they release TBC Classic anyway. Might as well change it beforehand I guess.
Retail got 500+ mounts.
And you can ride all of of em at once.
Reason for change was with the upcoming TBC back on the day and flying skills. They wont change till TBC announcement should they do it
