I think there may be a difference between people in how easily they get ‘sucked in’ with a screen. I easily get immersed, with movies and such too. If I fall from a great height in WoW I get the feeling in my stomach and all, my brain apparently has issues with differentiating properly 
I enjoy it most of the time but sometimes it may induce some panic and sweaty hands lol.
Hope you finde peace and Blizz helps you a bit out in some ways with console commands. Must be very hard to live like this and it probably took a lot of courage to write this thread. Don’t worry, you’re not being judged 
Not sure though, if they can address all anxieties though. Removing all squares sounds a bit hard I think. Worst case I think you can grind mobs technically, since they give xp.
That must suck while at the same time i am kind of jealous. I havent had such immersion in games anymore since i was a kid.

No, at first it was. Atlas has some scary deep water, especially when it gets dark. But eventually I overcame the anxiety it gave me. It was after all a game on my screen. Should be noted that I’m crazy about underwater environments so maybe that played a role as well.
It seems to differ and I guess it is how well it tricks your brain. I despise spiders but I am not so bad with them in game, though I dread fighting some of them.
I don’t particularly like heights and I am not so bad unless it’s peering off a very high ledge and my legs go funny.
I can’t stand crowds and there are days where I feel like I can’t see anything in WoW because there are so many people and it makes me tense.
I know it’s pixels but my brain sometimes doesn’t.
I’d be surprised if anyone’s agoraphobia is triggered in a traditional (non-VR) video game, actually. I don’t want to go into details, but this is something I have an unfortunate amount of first hand experience with.
I’m skeptical of the OP.
I get vertigo irl quite badly. I do also get it in game - I can fly with no problem but walking along a high-up narrow ledge or anything similar to that turns my stomach upside down and makes me feel dizzy. I don’t like it but can cope with it because the rest of the game is ok for me except for my general social anxiety. This means I don’t do group stuff such as dungeons and raids. And that can work fine. There is still quite a lot of content in the game that can be done on your own.
However, if the OP has that many phobias which are affecting his gameplay, I can’t imagine why he’d want to continue. There is nothing that can be done for the first two ingame. The other two maybe easier to avoid.

nah, spiders in my dreams and on the screen are fine. tho i do cringe when someone sends me a real life spider video doing spider things.
I remember long ago, when harry potter two was out we watched the part where the spiders came out and my brother was in tears o.o im amazed people find fantasy beasts like that so terrifying.
Not fine! Nightmares! Dangling from threads towards you or can’t move for them. EEE EEE EEE!!! That cave in Azure Span really freaked me out but eventually I overcame it… mostly by looking at the floor but EW!
Harry Potter spiders were horrid! Didn’t scare me per se like they do irl but they do make me itchy and want to fold up inside myself.

There’s a mod for Skyrim that tears all the spiders into upright bears lol.
Can’t really do that sort of stuff in WoW tbh… It can break a lot of encounters.
