The smiley at the end was meant to emphasize that my comment was tongue-in-cheek.
I wouldnât be -quite- so sure about that to be honest with you. Fairly far from it in fact.
You could even put it down to the fact that the US Forums feel (accurately) That they have a chance of being needed. Whereas no one on the EU forums, now matter how sensible, calm and measured their Feedback has ever really gotten anywhere.
You are of course aware of the saying âFamiliarity Breeds Contemptâ.
What else breeds Contempt, is Contempt itself, and that is the EU forum experience.
âWhy on earth -should- we feel trammelled by the US example, when we know it will make precisely no difference.â
So all those people there? Theyâre paying âroughlyââ the Same Sub as the EU forum goers, yet their experience is better, and less ignored.
You canât treat people in a substandard way, then act all innocent and surprised when they in turn become Uncivil at times.

Actually when I saw someone dare to create a forum topic on nerfing heroic Slyvanas on US forums, my jaw drooped. I expected like some ââtarget dummy, order pizzaââ comments on it but when I saw they are discussing the topic that mature way, I didnât believe my eyes.
I canât imagine the negative reactions I will get if I create a topic about nerfing Sly on heroic difficulty.

I donât understand if the EU or US was the more mature, but when I look at the forum posts in the US the majority are troll posts, or at least I hope they are . Donât want to go into specifics because someone will try to get offended but yeah.

To be fair, you are talking about nerfing LFR, the other is talking about nerfing heroic.
You are complaining about âpro hordie developersâ the other is complaining about âhow it takes too long to get to the actual difficult partâ.
You say âI do not care what other people needâ, the other doesnât mention any disregard towards other people.
Perhaps itâs the differences between the opening statement that changed the tone?
I mean letâs be real, would you be interested in a civil discussion with a person that, in their very opening statement tells you âI do not care what you need or think!â?
Because, well I personally wouldnât.

You are disregarding peoples opinions based on their kills in difficulties that arenât LFR in the other thread.
No ad hominem or what aboutism in here. Also no offtopic. A different tone causes people to react differently. Also the topic is also genuinely not similar, because as you yourself said, LFR is nothing like heroic.
If youâre genuinely interested in making this âEU vs NAâ, try posting the very same thread with the very same wording in the US forums and see if people react as you expect.
I personally believe the opening statements were inherently too different and the ânerf LFRâ statement was too fixated on blaming âpro hordie developersâ, which is not only leaving a sour taste in anybody that you consider âproâ aka anybody who raids higher difficulties than LFR but also is just silly.
Sometimes LFR bosses are more difficult, sometimes less. If you had raided during Hellfire Citadel, youâd know what real pain in LFR meant. Archimonde rarely died with less than 20 stacks of determination.
6 wipes is not a large number for a bosskill.
NA and EU servers react very similar to similar topics, these two topics are simply not very similar.
Sylvanas might be a bit difficult for LFR, the one time I killed her we lost somewhere between 10 and 15 people during p2 only, but at the same time, free loot requiring a bit of time investment is genuinely not that big of a deal.
Thatâs about it.

EU is superior due to the diversity of people we get. One of the great aspects of this forum and community in general is that not everyone has English as their main language. People with various understanding of the English language and the connotations of specific words come together and try to communicate. Some are more brutal simply because they donât know the language too well. Iâd wager the majority of people on this forum learned English on their own, maybe studied it in high-school, but didnât get higher education in the language. This results in a great variety of colorful people, coming from all kinds of cultures and I love that. Even the people I dislike on this forum⌠I kinda like in a way.
