Player Housing

So i looked at the recent post from blizz and i wonder… what are they gonna do about the realms that are low pop / dead. Because if players are ment to populate the neighborhoods then that will become a problem since i see people from my realm 3 times a month or less. And thats outside main cities. So what are the plans there?

i would like to see some options for npc’s to live around me or something like seeing my own characters go about and be npc like when i m at my house… It is that or actualy begin proper sharding so i see players from other realms other than once every 5th month in the overworld.

Sharding was mentioned, which is used to populate the game with players from different realms so “dead realms” wouldn’t really be a thing in that regard. There’s a default shard tied to connected realms, and more temporary shards get added on top of that to tackle overcrowding.

So I’m guessing there’ll be permanent shards used for housing.

Can we get a swimmingpool? If so i invite every single player to drop their worries and join the argent boys at my place for a great way to enjoy themselves in a hot indoors swimming pool and during summer it’d be outdoors and we’ll of course have sunbeds for you to get a tan on and waterslides aswell.

Nah we’d of course have toilets aswell

Aye sharding is a thing… but not for Moonglade steamwheedle cartel, or shat’ar. We are suppose to shard over to AD and Darkmoonfaire and other rp realms. but we rarely shard over, maybe a player here and a player there that sudently fall over to our realm but that is about it. This is why it is abit conserning to think that population of the player housing zones shal be filled with players.

Ontop of that this is just phase 1 with 2 zones. we gonna get more zones and more fitting areas for the difrent races ( i assume with what they wrote) and if that is corect then we will see even fewer players in our Neighborhoods and that again is conserning. would be nice to see this on the Ptr or cinematic or something that shows what they gonna give or thei idea of giving. so we can see if random npc’s goes around or if it is just houses and empty roads with nature only.

Neighbourhoods are seperate instances. So people could come from different servers.

I migh wondering: will housing unlocked like a feature (for free) or do wee need first PAY for our house, like in FF14 (having a gold sink if doing with twinks), i dint know how it was in wildstar, SWTOR and many ither but take a guess it wasn’t cheap either

Have u ever paid any feature in wow? It will be probably opened the same was as garrison.

And youd had spend Gold for the Garnison for the Upgrades, (and later for the shipyard)

Yes, but the base feature is opened by free. Ofc you probably can and will buy cosmetics for gold or real money (as blizz claimed some there will be in the shop).

Full news article about that here:

I meant to reply that as addition to Kurst/Gorrak above my post.

already read and thats where i found the issues mentioned

In orgrimmar they didnt

I thoroughly do not give a single damn about seeing other people in the neighbourhood, I just want to build pretty houses!

It seems were not given many options related the actual building itself beside two options of two factions alliance and horde but given options with the interior of the houses, so decoration. Decorate them not build.

Okay yeah fine, decorate them.

Im pleased for it. Garrison didn’t have much options what I remember of them. I also hope there can be some other purpose for them aswell than just rp. I hope they put something that ppl can actually do in them after the decoration is inevitably done at some point, put some like minigames or something there. Wouldnt be too hard make chess board on table near fireplace for atmosphere and be able play chess with quest example etc.

hope we got diffenet houses, sizes and shapes that the neigborhood look not the same.
just like it did in FF14.

You are speculating.
They didn’t release any information on building styles yet.
