My anecdotal and personal statistic is that the real population is so low, that all I see is different real names, and in M+ more than 50% of players I get grouped with, are Horde. So we have pooled probably all EU realms and even Horde to make the numbers. And past midnight, or in the morning/afternoon it is very quiet.
You can, during busy times. Between 5pm and 11pm youâll be OK. Outside of those hours, be prepared for waiting.
m+ has been cross faction for a while now. m+ has always been cross realm and regions.
I see lots of my list when i search for groups in LFG tool no matter what time of day.
No idea why you replied to me yet quoted Naxxos very strange. Off to bed
Or how about not having money for subscription-based entertainment anymore? Weâre in dark morass right now. Got others problems that we should have addressed ages ago when they were smaller.
This one got to stay up for a month and in the end gained 200+ likes before getting locked and deleted.

Source of this?
Other means of entertainment died during the outbreak of the unspecific Virus of unknown origins.
Theres way too many interviews during DF to remember and find the exact one ion said it, but he defintly said, 11.0 was the major one.
With so many people staying and working from home, even now, youâd think subs would shoot through the roof. So many of people I know now have flexible work arrangements, 2 or more days from home!
I am not sure about that. I am checking credit card bills, I see netflix and amazon trying to brainwash me with woke and I am paying for being preached on, want to cancel but my wife commands me otherwise, then I see that Spotify cr*p, this alone is almost double the price of WoW⊠And there are more âsubsâ like these in many peopleâs houses, eg Disney (another preaching establishment). In England we also have the BBC we (forcefully) pay sub to, and yes they are as far left as giving Marx a run for his money. You do not pay the BBC you go to jail. Democracy huh?
Anyway we digress, I think subs is not the problem for WoW. Even if they made the sub 50% of what it is now, they would not double their playerbase. I personally think it is a generation thing, old dinosaurs like me are fewer and fewer and young people indulge in other means of entertainment, and other types of games, FPS etc
I am on Silvermoon, the most populated EU server, and I have never seen this before. On main cities I see Horde and Alliance from every EU server it seems. In the past it was 2-3 select servers, now it is the whole of the EU. On M+ I am grouping with the whole of the EU and Horde too, had not seen this in the past (but I did stop playing in 2021 so âŠ).
Additionally, M+ LFG is very quiet/DEAD in the mornings, early afternoons and late at night. Like last night, I was not able to complete two more keys to do my 8x for the vault.
This is my personal experience and I know what I see.
And now I will utilise a great forum tool some kind soul recently taught me and put you on ignore.
The corona virus is a false excuse. By their quarter report WoW subs went down during the pandemic.
If you know kanrethad by his usual posts heâs just trying to uphold a narrative through false statements. The game is so alive that they had to lift up faction restrictions.
Iâm not sure why the likes thing has evoked such a reaction in you. Nobody is lying or in denial itâs just observation.
Sadly even by your example you canât provide a 200-300 liked post as an example, even if you did use a US topic as an example. Personally I donât tend to venture on there much. I know some like to do both forums and some prefer the US over the EU. Nothing wrong with that, I just donât have the time and I play on EU.
The likes on a post isnât something worth dwelling on.
I did find the like farming post, just for fun. There were several of those with various names but these days people can just find other topics to like for their quota.
The Horde was thriving, the Alliance was dying. That is why we have cross faction game play. So people are no longer punished for being the faction of their choice. Now they can take part in PuG content with Hordes.
Then why do we have the like system in the first place?
I wouldnât say the Horde was thriving. Itâs just declining more slowly than the Alliance.
What is the exact point of this topic?
You think the numbers are down. The game is bad.
Why you are still here?
Cancel your acc and go find another game to play it and thrive in their forum.
Why you are still here posting nonsense without fact lame opinions?
You âbelieveâ this game is dead and bad but you are still here.
It is cross faction.
I see ugly orcs when i do stuff all the time.
Who are you to tell people what to complain about ?
The people who complain are usually the people who care the most.
Obviosly, playing a game you dont enjoy is agony. Agonizing hobby is stupid. But at the same time, if u dont like someone who complains, keep your comments to yourself!
Dude ure so stupid, no⊠pc games , ps, are not declining and there is also extreme growth in mobile games⊠its just the most aaa titles are dropping numbers
âŠlike world of warcraft
I just cant stop laughing at wow simps.
paying monthly fee, for garbage game for many years u all spent thousands
Ofc u have to defend your stupid money investments
In the context of this conversation itâs not worth all the off topic discussion.
Likes are fine but arguing with others and calling them liars because you donât agree about what likes youâve seen is futile.
As a Horde pre cross faction I had zero issues finding groups day or night. There was no population/player problems. There have been plenty of discussions highlighting how people felt they had no choice but to go Horde even though they want to play Alliance just so they could play the game.
Now they can play the game and it was a change welcomed by most. You can see how hard it is to play Alliance in non PUG content still. LFR queue is very long for example. Blizzard really need to go that last step and give players cross faction guilds and queued content like LFR, dungeons, random battlegrounds etc.
The day I canât see anyone else in the world around me or I struggle to find groups I might actually be convinced this game is âdyingâ. Iâve been listening to people claim the game is dead or dying since I started playing in TBC.
No one is denying that the numbers stopped going up shortly after the end of Wrath, however even WoWs lower sub number have been higher than some games even reach. Gaming habits have changed and people also play lots of different games or flit between several. Weâve had two heavily criticised expansions where they stuck to their guns despite players not liking the systems they implemented.
Time will tell how well DF is received.
Tbh my short experiences on the Alliance side are not good as well
It started back in Vanilla.
When I asked my RL friend why he chose Horde instead of Alliance, he told me:
âItâs full of kidsâ.
His words not mine.
Vanilla period:
When I got tired of easy victories on the Horde side on low level BGs, in Kul-Tyras, I decided to play a Human Paladin level 19 and a Ne Hunter level 29.
Ouch
Crushing defeats every single WSG match. Twinks vs normal geared players is not a good match, thatâs for sure.
Horde was always organized while Alliance were scattered all over the place.
Always ended with everyone turtling in the flag room after the Horde wiped us out in the middle.
Curious fact: I thought Paladins could only heal themselves. I never saw one healing any other than themselves in those BGs, until I started playing one.
I tried playing his Human Paladin in Azjol-Nerub. Bgs level 40-49. I was unsubscribed at the time.
Again more crushing defeats.
Try healing an entire WSG alone. Not the most pleasant experience.
BTW the Horde players didnât even needed to focus on me, it was easy to just kill what was in front of them, even with me healing it.
Again Twinks vs normal geared players.
Legion Period:
I was playing in my new UK account and I had just completed, what was supposed to be my main: A BE Hunter in Draenor named Valainistima:
Legion pre-patch invasions were going on, leveling was easy.
However once I was done with her, I still wanted to go through some more, leveling.
I started leveling a Human Warrior called ValquĂria:
I couldnât finish her leveling, because the event ended.
I went to LFD.
I experienced something, I never had in Horde: Tanks leaving a leveling dungeon.
At least 2-3 times.
The nail in the coffin was when I died twice, on Moguâshan Palace start, due to an AoE mechanic. Immediately kicked out. Yes it was pretty stupid on my part, but I hadnât played WoW for a very long period. Last time it had been, was, when MoP was the current expansion.
I played a Human Mage on a friendâs account, at the time of MoP. Playing ranged is so much easier than melee
Off I went leveling her solo and never queued in LFD again. She staid parked in her WoD garrison, doing daily routines.
That was until BFA came and I needed my Human Warrior to do the pre-patch event, because of the âMorally Greyâ narrative on Horde side, I had to do it on the Alliance side to unlock the Mount offered.
My main at the time on the Horde side was a BE Paladin in Kul-Tyras. I had given up on playing my BE Hunter in Draenor. Too much spam in general chat. I hated it.
After watching Sylvanas burning the NEs, I knew I had done the right decision.
My interpretation: Paladins are not meant to burn civilians even is they are on the Horde side.
That was the first time ever, I had to switch sides to do an event.
Donât get me wrong, I didnât play Alliance mostly because I couldnât send Gold. mats, gear to the opposite side. Now we can. I would say, a bit too little too late in my opinion.
Unfortunately due to BFA narrative, I ended up with having to create new Horde characters that would fit a more darker narrative and between, Past expansions characters (like this one), characters I want to play (BEs), darker characters, deleted characters brought back I ended with 25.
Thereâs no time for more now
Edit: typing and added background.
Cheers.
