Player numbers declining

This. 4 of my cousins that I played with simply moved on to other games. It’s not that they hate wow, they simply outgrown it preferring single player games now.

I stuck around because I still like wow and I did almost give up multiple times in shadowlands, but Dragonflight brought me back.

For me, wow has a lore and vibes that I cannot find in any other game, and I am simply not ready to let it go. Especially since I’m having fun roleplaying and exploring.

Cheers :clinking_glasses:

So you think i defend my “stupid money investments” not that i enjoy the game.
But YOU why you are still here? You didn’t answer that.

Fun fact:
I haven’t logged on my UK account for ages now and if you go look up for the characters I linked above, you probably won’t get any results.

Today I was logging on my Worgen Hunter level 7 from the same server as my Human Warrior and immediately, I 'm greeted with the following message:
“Looks like you haven’t log in for a while. Do you want to proceed your adventures in Stormwind ?” Yes/No.
She was in Darnassus inn.
I pressed yes and she was teleported to Stormwind

Cheers.

My words aswell.
It used to be the other way around.

You guys are grown men/women !

Why are you arguing about likes and why you play…

Stop it. Its wierd.

Totally off topic but I love your name, so good for a Goblin!

I do like that feature, I got it on some of my alts, lets me get back into the relevant stuff without having to travel.

Many players liked those systems.
Its obvious that on DF, after they remove
D those systems, there are even less players.

I said it a thousand times. In an mmo its all about replayability. DF does not have it. Previous expansions did.

You collected anima and slowly you developed your area/got portals/better garden etc. Titanforhed, Artifact weapons, azerite, garrisons etc…
The game was not beaten once you completed a raid and got high ilvl with mythic+.

Im getting tired of ‘systems bad’. DF proved this statement a “you think you do, but you dont”

Only if you spend all the time playing the same character. Not doing progression content. How’s that Mithic progression going ?
I assume you are done with Mithic keys and the latest Mithic raid right ?

Infinite play time.
Not going to happen.
Every game you pay, has to end.
Otherwise what’s the point in buying a new game ?
Just play the same for ever.

I’m tired of systems.
What’s their purpose ?
After the expansion is over the knowledge you got from them is useless.

Cheers.

That’s a lie.

…or you are in denial!

The game is dying, that is why we have all this “cross-faction” stuff. If it was like you said, then we would had cross faction game play since long time go. But no, there were people to play with, in both faction. That is no longer true today.

I mean, it obviously based on your comments, that you indeed tryhard to please WoW devs because “reasons”, but … you are not doing any good to WoW. You are just defending something which clearly can’t be saved at this point.

I would rather “scream” for changes if I were you, than to defend current Retail.

MMOs dont have an ending. In MMO the goal is to develop your character in an open world where other people play at the same time. But there is no ‘beating the game’. i dont feel i have that core mmo feature in DF.

How is it an off topic discussion? Likes are a way to show how some might agree with an opinion. This thread is about player numbers declining. Maybe it’s part of the reason on why a huge amount of people voiced their opinion about Dragonflight being too Disney why there’s a decline??

There’s no disagreement. There were actualy topics with a massive amount of likes randing from 100 to even 400 but they all got deleted after a while because it resulted in a flame war between a small minority of posters who disagreed and anyone who joined in.

It’s on MMOChampion, on Reddit, everyone finds this expansion extremely immature.

It’s extremely weird how pointing out things that hurt the narrative is met with people repeating the same things over and over again. Almost like you guys are doing a PR stunt for Blizzard themselves.

That’s an issue Blizzard decided to ignore for years. Believe me it used to be the reverse for PvP. If you wanted a high rating, you had to switch to the Alliance to find better team mates.

Really? Because the day I find this game took down a fundamental gameplay mechanic is the day that I am convinced this game is dying.

All my respect to you, but you’re not making any sense with these statements. The Alliance is so dead according to you that they had to change factions just to be able to play end game. Yet you’re not under the impression that this game is dying. Are you for real here Puny?

We don’t know the actual numbers. If you do, feel free to post them.

But I’ll take my own evidence that I saw with my own eyes. Nobody is passionate about Warcraft anymore.

I think there is.
I saw during Vanilla a NE Warrior in full Naxxramas tier, in a WSG match He had the top gear the game had to offer. What else was left for him to do ?

Why is there an ending cinematic in every expansion ?
Doesn’t that mean you finished the story ?

I think everyone here can say which was the highest item level you could achieve in each expansion. Also which highest essence you had to get in order to complete your HoA. I think it was rank 4.
I’m only using BFA as an example. I’m aware there was other type of elements to be farmed in SL.

Than by your own logic all versions of WoW, that didn’t had borrowed power, like:

  • Vanilla.
  • TBC.
  • WoTLK.
  • Cataclysm.
  • MoP.
  • WoD.

Were bad, because they didn’t had borrowed power, right ?

Edit: typing.

Cheers.

Probably a good chunk of the ones leaving are just giving up in failed hopes of the performance issues ever being fixed

It’s one of the very few things absolutely ruining an otherwise REALLY strong expansion. They’ve let themselves down. They don’t seem to care though.

a blood elf in vanilla?

My apologies.
I meant a NE Warrior.
He was playing in a 10 man premade.
Needless to say they just toyed with us, as we couldn’t even scratch his paint. Everyone was attacking him. He had 2 Tier PVP set, Dwarf Paladins healing him in the Alliance Flag room. He just stand there being healed and holding the Horde flag.
I was playing this character in that game to get my Rank 11, necessary to unlock the 4 epic mounts.

I’m going to correct that.

Edit: NEs were not the best choice for Warrior class, but that player did it.
Which goes to show: time available and skill trump racial choice.

Cheers.

it was a private server.

in all of previous expansions you have lik 50 reps to get exalted with. DF have 4.
in previous expansion you had rare mounts and toys and quests and weapons and stuff.
DF you finish the main questline in 10 hours and the rest in a few days. thats it.

in tbc my warlock was close to bis. i was missing like few items. got lots of exalted, including mushroom. but not all.
never got the scryers or the others (wanted to stay neutral).

in wotlk my warlock was again 95% bis i was missing like one item.
again same as above.

it continued through the following expansions, only they had even more stuff to develop.

and yes, im comparing X.0 to 10.0 !
there is no way in you beat thepatch in a month or two into the first patch. even at the beginning you had alot to do after you get the gear you want and finish the pve content.

one of the problems in DF is quick leveling.

Check my character rank.
Lieutenant general rank 11.
I also corrected what I said, from BE to NE.
But I guess you are not interested in reading that part right

Cheers.

There’s more content coming.
You almost sound like we are in WoD last patch and there’s nothing to do.

Not their fault people rushed content.
There’s plenty to do like Mithic progression. How is your progress btw ?

Cheers.

what do you care what im doing ?

lots of people already got very high ilvl from mythic+ pushes. raiding in general isnt very common, especially mythic raid. but if a person want, its not hard to complete it with current gear.
