I can kinda tolerate the game right now but in my friends opinions:
They dont wanna play anymore because of the trash newer and bad sounding animations wow now has(think of how ferocious sounding the classic wow sounds were when criting with a warrior and using abilities, now they are just whoosh! and seem so generic)
Also they say the game has been made too mellow insert Metzen’s old arts with gore and decapitations
Cant see anything in raids from 100000 useless effects of other players(no. setting them on essential doesn’t help).
Also cost of game + gametime is too high for some countries, especially since they’ve lost their trust in the game and won’t risk to spend money on it anymore.
No 1v1 arena(even just unranked, with just honor rewards and basic cosmetic stuff). People have been asking since TCB for this.
Yes Ik the game wasn’t balanced for 1v1, but who cares? It’s just a lil but of extra fun.
Lore takes entire years for some cliffhangers to be revealed, like why Vol’Jin did what he did… but even now that we know the answers its extremely underwhelming. Also too many retcons from the books. Also broken characters like Malfurion never do anything for no reason at all.
iLvl and stat differences of gear from start of an expansion to the last patch of it are ridiculously high. It’s like if you played at a start of an expansion and then return to the last patch you can’t even damage players in pvp… I’m not saying to be able to be competitive… BUT at least to be able to damage them a little. what is the point of increasing stats that much blizz? Even if there are smaller increases of stats on items, people would still work days for an 1% advantage. Reducing iLvL differences would make it not feel that your progress is reset every patch completely.
This is a cry for help, I really want to play again with my friends
All crits did back then was your character letting out a grunt. It was hardly visceral.
For spell effects, there are options to reduce them on the options menu.
Cost of the expansion is definitly too high when FF is charging 30 euros for theirs with roughly the same content.
The sub is the price to pay for continued support. Without it, the shop becomes predatory.
1v1… ok, i am gonna go on a rant about pvp. I don’t feel sorry for PvP players since legion. What we had in Legion was the closest to balance and matches were fun. PvP players were clear. They wanted gear so they could exploit and one shot people.
PvP crumbled as a result cause guess what? The other guys getting one shot are not having fun and will stop playing your unbalanced nonsense. Queues became huge as a result and without players it enters a spiral. I simply don’t care anymore. This is what the “people” wanted and now they have to live with the consequences. I would be fine if blizz just removed pvp tbh.
I agree with the ilvl hike. It’s insane. We need a squish every 2 expansions.
You will not get any help from the forums. Your…friends will not be convinced by whatever some forum poster here writes. If they don’t want to play than nobody here can do much about it.
I just want to put this out there to blizzard.
I know they are not gonna read this because they barely care about the game anymore.
But yea just putting some issues out there to blizzard, which somehow most ppl dont ask them in all their Q&A. Or when they ask them they are not persistent about a proper answer enough.
I would like them to change their gear system. ilvl is so toxic.
Levelling should be a little grind (not hardcore classic, but a grind that should last a week or so to max out) this way you get to play an MMORPG by playing with random strangers while levelling, meeting pixels instead of semi afk banging music you found on youtube.
Other than point 5, which I think is better served by duels (that are also dead…) I think all these points are completely valid and I do wish that Blizzard would do something about, but alas.
These are the people who “silent quit the game” and will never look back unless they hear there has been a major change.
And they are tons like them probably more than are currently playing atm. Blizz should listen to this post.
Are you serious? You consider €200 without shipping for a Collector’s Edition cheap? The standard one-month game subscription has been the same price since vanilla WoW.
The War Within:
Base Edition - €49.99
Heroic Edition - €69.99
Epic Edition - €89.99
Do you really think these are cheap prices for a game celebrating its 20th anniversary, especially when it’s less than a week from release and still unfinished?
He didn’t say the fights themselves are bad; his issue is with the effects caused by players’ spells, which can make the FPS drop so low that the game becomes unplayable.
Big true to both!
Yep it’s really expensive it’s like a triple AAA game price AND you pay subscription, also there may be a chance that now they will release expansions faster so we will have to pay more often because “its a saga” but not sure about it.
It feels like the payment model is designed for super-fans.
Blizz should consider that most ppl nowdays when they hear about how much u need to invest in wow… They just go play some other game, there is nothing keeping them to focus on wow.
Your read it wrong. The post is saying he cant see for spell effect even on the lowest setting. Which is true, there is no need for such effects unless you trying to blind ppl or induce epileptic fits. Pala’s spamming Divine Storm lol just a golden swirl obscuring everything. Common sense says you only need to see what your doing and what the boss is doing in terms of spells. But spamming spell effects hiding boss effect is rank bad. The only real reason to put so many blinding spell effects on a screen is if your selling high end gfx cards.
are you serious?
it’s called COLLECTOR’s EDITIONS for a reason
And yes game is cheap
I don’t know where you live and what you doing
but i literally bought expansion epic version and at the same time i just bought horizon for 60 and Cybepunk for 51 euros on steam
Like instead of playing wow go and figure out how to make money.
I know and I’ve been collecting the Collector’s Edition for a long time now. But should a Collector’s Edition cost around €400 - €500 with shipping included?
I bought the 15th Anniversary Edition for around €130 - €150 and had more stuff included than the next expansion’s Collector’s Edition.
Then you must have a really good salary and a good job too. Good on you. The game may be cheap for you but for others it can be expensive.
I bought the Collector’s Edition and I bought a new laptop for TWW. I have a full time job, I don’t need to figure out how to make money but thank you for your concern.
Side note: Don’t judge people who you don’t know where they are from and what they do in their life. I’m simply here to give my opinion, suggestions and help out other people.
