Not much changed when Activision taken over… they taken over in 2008? lol.
Guess you are blind then… activsion bought blizzard in july 2008. Dungeon finder came out in december 2009. Coincidence?
Considering wotlk was one of the biggest expansion with the highest amount of subscribers, I consider it a good expansion
Not like dungeon finder is bad, at least you don’t have to spam world/trade chat LF tank for 1+ hour lol.
How can you even say something like dungeon finder is a good feature? Regardless it doesnt change my point. Activision brought immence change in the direction the game took. also giving activision credit for wotlk sucess is just insanity. The expansion was most likely alrdy almost completly figured out by the time activision took out. The first real activision expansion was cata. And we all know how that went…
But it is a good feature?
Especially if you don’t have time to waste looking for a tank for 1+ hour?
Its a garbage feature for garbage players
If you say so, buddy
If you enjoy spending 1hour+ trying to find a tank, so be it.
Any feature that activly promotes less communication in a game genre where one of the most fundamental aspects is interacting and communicating with others is just wrong.
So spamming LF tank for ages is considered communication? xD.
Okay
Compare the amount of communication that happens in a dungeon group with people from different servers that will never see each other again,to the amount of communication and chit chat you get in a group of people from the same server. That are more likely to group up together in the future. More often than not when i did dungeons through dungeon finder, no one spoke a word, not even a hello at the start.
I talk to people plenty
Just because you’re unsocialable, doesn’t mean other people aren’t
People just dont respond most of the time. Keep on living with your delusions
This is what people actualy think of communication in lfg.

BANG CLASSIC FRESH SERVER EVERY 2 YEARS BANG BANG BANG
Yes classic is classic.
Its gamr for gamer dads or goomers or whatever nick you “creative” kids can make up.
I guess if you are borred buddy, there is tons of games out there for you kids with extra energy. I will try to count few.
Fortunate, a cartoon 7million color shooter
Call of Duty 73 with nuclear lasers
That game where ubare naked and killing ppl with frying pan
Diablo 17
Ok
If theses games are popular, maybe there’s a reason.
Whilst I’d certainly hate for Insanebolt to ever think I’m agreeing with him; WoTLK was actually the downfall of this game.
It might have had the most subscribers, but it was also the start of the downward spiral of instant-and-easily-accessible content that people devoured in a matter of hours.
Yeah, because popularity and quality always go hand in hand - right? And the great big zerg are geniuses - right? ^^
So yeah, the reason is short attention spans, constant changes/content to escape from reality, flashing lights and the hope that one day people will belong to something bigger than themselfs.
“I want to feel pro and included, while I forget my responsibilities, but without effort!” - Just look at Retail.
With other words. The people who have cried “Release the next Phase” since Classic launched most likely dont have all their BiS-items in the latest raids. They are far from Top 10 speedruns, Top 10 Execution and 100 Parses. Most of them probably haven’t seen anything above Rank 11 and arent even close to beeing Exalted with WSG or AB. My guess is they are the very same people who start lvling new classes to be mediocre on every week (and stop at 30, go back to their “Mains” and change specc). Since what they want isnt “content” that requieres grind, patience and dedication, but “content” that is a childs dream that the next phase will be any diffrent from the previous one - if its released NOW.
The only problem of wotlk is that had 4-5 decent raid encounters in 4 tiers.
The rest where a joke, they had to make artificial challenges like immortal or conqueror, but the raids where too Damm easy, that’s why I prefer 10 times more cata than wotlk

You can talk to other people in LFD, but they often don’t even respond because there’s hardly any incentive to be sociable in LFD. It’s easy to get in, easy to get out and (at least in WotLK, but from what I’ve seen even in further expansions) the LFD dungeons are piss easy.
On the contrary, in Classic and TBC there’s more investment in the group, because that long time and effort it took you to actually put the group together and get to the instance make you less inclined to behave like an asocial scoundrel.
Riot has been under Tencent since a while now.
And since they bought it Riot released a lot more Anime-ish skins and characters and also started copying other games formats for their release. Looking at the next releases it’s like looking at low tier mobile games copies of copies of copies.
