i remember being 16 years old playing the game, using “gay” as an insult every day, being scared of things i haven’t got a clue about. then you grow up, talk to more people in the real world, meet a couple of people who aren’t straight. you learn that said people aren’t a joke, they’re people. good luck with your guild!

I see no issue with guilds like this, after all there are a lot of children on WoW and even in 2019 while it is getting better, some are still ignorant of LGBT issues.
I won’t be going on Shazzrah (too many players!) but if you decide to go on Zandalar Tribe you have a friend here. And it’s a very friendly/mature server after being on the discord for a while!
one of my favorite guilds I was ever in was on (US)Proudmoor a very lgbtq friendly server. Which server are you rolling on?
Can we not bring this crap into a Fantasy game. I mean, you litterally play a game, where you can be anything you want, and the 1st thing you want to do is plaster your RL identity on it… Whats the point of playing a RPG then?
You should definatly play UD priest though just to use devouring plague to “infect” morrons who still think you can turn people gay

Let it be known though. If I say “Man, this trash is so gay” it means it’s rubbish, nothing less, nothing more. That’s the definition of the word to me.
Same applies with “fag”. It isn’t anything homophobic, but ciggy related.
Of course I try to be sensitive to people around me, but if a “gay” (rubbish) or “fag” slips out in every day chatter, and someone gets offended, that’s their deal, not mine.

What happened to the guild? It was so inspiring, having a guild that announced it’s sexuality to a bunch of strangers for no reason.
I was so inspired, that I was going to make a guild for people that swallow chewing gum after it loses it’s taste? Why? Because lgbtsg-rights ! Hate it when i’m on voice chat with pugs, and they realize that I, without going afk, at one moment was chewing gum and at the next moment wasn’t chewing it anymore. “Yo Hunt, where’d your gum go? Did you swallow it dude? That’s super unhealthy” they say. But they don’t understand me, or my body, or my life. We needed the guild for men RPing women IRL. And we need the guild for people swallowing gum!

Gender identity and LGBT+ are a new thing, they weren’t popular in Vanilla, I might say they were unheard off. Still an issue difficult to stomach for many. It might take a few expansions until it will be part of the ‘‘norm’’ . Untill then lets hunt one another on the grounds of ‘‘old time divisions’’

You know, people would be much more accepting of LGBT people if they didn’t use any and every opportunity to exclaim to the world that they are, in fact, LGBT and that you now need to be even more tolerant towards them. They’re kinda like obnoxious vegans. IDGAF if you’re a vegan, but if your whole identiy evolves around being a vegan (or being LGBT) then you can fck right off and leave me alone with that crap.
Same goes for heterosexual people, by the way. If I meet a guy whos whole identiy evolves around how straight he is and how many women he’s banged in the last week then miss me with that sht

Everyone has the right to say what thinks is every individual’s right, human right. Everyone has the right to comment, expresses their opinion but… No one have right to denies someone the right of free speech. Or… to impose his opinion xD

One camp needs to relax with the name calling and the other needs to stop being so sensitive to mere words.
Now as far as a guild that would be friendly towards the LGBT community ? I think that would be a great idea. The hate these people suffer daily (admittedly sometimes caused by themselves, but still), is a bit too much and they already have enough problems within their daily lives; they surely don’t need little fragile billy harrassing them in a game they are paying to have fun in. I’m a straight guy and I’m not afraid to admit that the best days in my life happened to me with a transgender girl and through her i learned how terrible other people can be towards them.
To the OP, do your thing and have fun. Ignore the morons on both sides. Cheers.
