Free transmog is great, but, forgive me if I missed something, but is per slot REALLY necessary?
Most people have the yak or the bear or a toy or one of those AH consumables by now and this won’t change the fact that it will still be needed whenever someone wants to do a different transmog, and some people don’t care for a while until they’re fully well geared because gear comes in so often so easily at the start of a new patch, so I don’t really see this as something people wanted or asked for in mass over the ability to transmog other armor types.
As a roleplayer this kind of screws over changing clothes on a whim, like I want my character to normally use their hood but I want to have the ability to switch out to helmet whenever I feel like it, currently I do this by just having an extra transmogged item in my bag and this is perfect, single button click and voilá, head changed when I want, where I want.
So please don’t ruin this.

You will be able to do different sets and even decide when wich Sets Shows automatically.
Like your chill outfit for your home and then it switches automatically

Forgive my assumptions here, but im pretty sure RP’ers make up a fraction of the overall playerbase. So what you want is everyone else, the majority, to mount up everytime they need to change transmog, so you dont have to mount up everytime you need to change transmog? Sorry, but sometimes majority rules. You gotta concider wich scenario benefits the most.

Do your clothes, when you get home IRL, all suddenly magically switch for your home ones?
I understand the immersion breaking part of the whole thing, but. We all agree that role players are some of the whiniest people out there. No matter what you do or what you provide, they always find something else to complain about because they have to go ahead and do X to be able to be able to do Y. But they want to be able to do Zed while doing A because if they do, then about invalidates the use of Z.
But like the guy above me just said that the role-playing community is literally. Always a percent of the overall player base in all regions right now. So Blizzard would rather, I’m hoping that they would rather do things that would work for much of the consumer base rather than basically, you know. Cater to that tiny percentage.
Ohh wait, don’t governments do that at the moment… enter the Twilight Zone music
So your solution is to screw over the people that care about the transmog to benefit the people who don’t really mostly care about it at all?

Nope but I can also not let my shirt look like a vest irl or shot fireballs.
I just told you about an option that will exist.
And you go for confrontation.
What makes you think RP’ers are the only ones who care about transmog?
Blizzards wants to change something that works just fine with something that no one really asked for.
How is it going to screw up transmog for role players
Transmogging Tied to Slots in Midnight
Transmogging your gear is tied to a slot in Midnight! When you get a new piece of gear, you should no longer need to pay to transmog that piece.

With transmog changes averaging 500 to 1000g on a full set, this is a lot of gold saved over time when you’re getting constant gear upgrades. In fact, Blizzard recently hid a little easter egg in the form of a lore book in Ghosts of K’aresh - mentioning that 98% of gear shows signatures of transmogrification. We can’t know for sure if this number is accurate, but it wouldn’t be surprising if it were!
It’s going to save so much gold for everyone. You can still have sets saved.

Now you’re starting to bring real life scenarios into the equation when it comes to the clothing situation, so I will throw another one at you. You are not allowed to buy anything from an NPC that has that goes over a certain value because Blizzard should then make it possible for me to be able to rob your character of all the money that you have on you.
This means if you want to buy something, you have to go to the bank to withdraw it or Blizzard has to create a credit card system, so you can pay with your credit card to the NPC where you want to buy your water, or you want to go and buy something from the auction house.
Actually, let’s change the auction house. For you to be able to buy something, you have to go through a bidding cycle which only happens once a week.
People seem to be completely missing the point of the fact that we want to be able to replace certain pieces of gear at will whenever we feel without suddenly requiring to mount up or spawn an item in the middle of roleplay to switch out a single piece.

it won’t screw up you won’t lose the ability to change stuff, I am an rper, I also do pvp and pve, this is a good change. It will be almost the same as ff14s glamour system, it won’t break your immersion, you can make multiple sets with same gears and change between sets. Ie: Set one has their hood up set 2 doesn’t, one click and change between.
If anything it’s a better way of handlnig mogs, we won’t need to carry spare armor sets in our bags anymore.

It’s not even just the hood, that was a simple example, a lot of other pieces are changed on a situation to situation basis.
Lots of people asked of “Transmog the slot, not the item” over the years (Countless forum threads about exactly that), because having to visit the transmog vendor every new item you get is a pain (And pricey), on the other hand, you’re the first person i’ve ever seen who likes the existing system so you can swap hats on the fly.

When you write a topic, Blizzard always suggests reading existing ones. Never have I seen such a thing asides from the usual “Let us transmog other item types!”.
The majority of the roleplay community likes this system because it is roleplay friendly. You don’t know what’s going to happen on X event that will require you to change your gear on the fly. We do this extremely often.
then make as many slots? nothing is stopping you

I thought it was free transmog, easily one of my favorite things they could implement/fix.
Learning it’s slot-transmog instead, where you’ll still have to pay fully if you wish to change look from whatever you had saved, had me let down – again.

They need to enable the option to Enable and Disable slots on the fly. So we can change our Hat or Clothes during RP without having to go to a Transmog vendor.

Puny, I think the argument here is that the OP currently can have a Tmog with a hood up, but for RP can have another helm in bags with the hood down and can swap to that for effect.
Tmogging the slot instead of the item would seem to break that part of the RP.
A possible soulution would be to be able to change saved mogs on the fly from a dropdown, but creating and saving mogs still requires the vendor.
