Please fix matchmaking and MMR

Shuffle session today:

1st game: Going against a healer with 30 lower MMR than me, went 4-2 and gained 5 rating.

2nd game: Going against a healer with 50 lower MMR than me, went 2-4 after a hunter threw a game by turtling at 1% and died through, - 45 rating.

3rd game: Going against another healer with 50 lower MMR than me, went 2-4 because a mage didn’t block on my team, another -45 rating.

I will never heal another shuffle again. If I get 5 rating for a win because Blizzard wants faster queues always matching me with lower MMR healers, it would take me 18 x 4-2 wins to get the 90 rating back from two losses.

Done with this crap of a system.

I’ve seen one 6-0 for healer this season while playing holy and that was me going 6-0. I’ve not seen any more 6 wins for a healer other than that one.

This is from reflex, ordered by win/losses.

7 1-5s, no 0-6. I always manage to get at least one win even if the other healer is better than me, because a DPS almost always screws up and dies without pressing enough in response to people using CDs.

I have on the other hand an insane amount of 3-3 games, which are mostly because of 0-6 dps. It doesn’t matter how good I am or how good the other healer is, we go 3-3 either way because of the DPS.

I’ve even gone 3-3 when I went to get a drink from the kitchen the last round, I knew the mage would die in the opener without pressing anything and I come back to a 3-3. I was literally AFK that last round and still got 3-3 instead of 2-4. I didn’t even play and still won the last round, resulting in a draw for me and the other healer.

DPS can only go 3-3 if one healer goes 6-0, which from my experience pretty much never happens considering I’ve only had 1 game this whole season where a healer went 6-0 when playing holy.

Healers can go 3-3 if a dps goes 0-6(which happens a lot) or if a dps goes 6-0(which is rare).

Here are 5-1 games where I thought I’d go 6-0 but didn’t because a DPS died without pressing enough:

While I agree that they were made really achievable , I don’t think they are to low for the average player. Don’t forget the majority of players is under 1800 and I think for BGB it was under 1600.

They shouldn’t get the rewards for free of cause , but it’s not like 80% of people just clean out the rewards every season with ease.

The thing is, it isn’t just at the end of the season. But at the beginning to. So even if rewards are low, dps usually will get them a lot earlier with less games played

As mentioned before, majority is below 1,8 most of the season even with inflation. Haben checked in a month but can’t imagine it moved a lot

Pretty sure that only works as dps. I remember making my new monk heal and went 5:1 first round, my mmr moved from 1900-1800 cause the system thought I should have won my placement games 6:0

If I would go 2:4 dear god I would speed run to 1, 6 mmr xD

I didn’t play SL, I tried the first weeks, but my personal time was me more worth than grinding weird pve takent trees :>

But I see how good BGB helps people reach their goals and how it is still a minority. Like my was 1/20 when I got 2,4 at the time. 20 Rdruids European wide getting „free rating „ doesn’t sound to much or ? So i think having strong inflation like this isn’t a bad idea as it makes people wanna play, even past the rewards and even without getting close to r1

Heck I have all rewards and made a new char jusz to see how high I can win streak my mmr ( 12:0 is sadly only 2,4 mmr, to many placement games )

Reward distribution and lack of motivation for playing while stuck on a rating is bad.

A reward for winning 100 games on duellist / rival etc would do a lot for participation

I feel like the game is in a good state to be fun , just long waiting times and dead lfg kill it

Don’t forget how even if you are close to a 6:0 the opponent healer often leaves at 0:4/0:5 ……

I checked drustvar, the list said most people are around 1800.

Which list ? Can’t seem to see it

But checked my Dk who is exactly 1,8 in frost and unholy in shuffel and both are around top 20-25% , meaning 75% are under 1,8 if I aren’t wrong ?

Then he is right, most people are below 1800.

The list is callec rating distribution list.

There is probaby a population of people who only played a few games and quit that inflates the number of people below 1,8 slightly. But I saw so many people with hundreds of games , regular posts on reddit where people ask how to break 1,8 etc.

We are in a bubble here. Only the lost nerds go to game forums to talk about this stuff so we think the average are the people around here but the people in the forum who talk about how 1,8 is more free than TSM in the Worlds 2018, are maybe 0,01% of the population

How did u get 100mmr minus for 5-1 wtf

I assume because its placement games the mmr range is wider and I low rolled with my opponent and he high rolled. Meaning the system calculated I should go 6:0 against someone like this.

The problem is, is it okay to create a lobby with the assumption that the other healer totally loses 0:6 in the first place? Is it realistic to happen with all of the rng?

The season ending and glads is 0.03% In battlenet accounts gz blizzard for that hard work and caring arena pvp…

They always leave or clutch 1 win somehow. But 0:6 dps is every other lobby. Thats why it needs to finally be adressed

also we dont get our 50 conquest…

Actually got a 6-0 for the first time in ages.

Bro ran into the fray in melee in a lobby with retri, dk & warrior and kept dying.
