Root beam is so foreign for dps to understand how to interact with. They see it and use no cds and for example ret never give freedom.

Yep, played monk healer cause I wanted to try it out, it’s fun but having 3 lobby’s with 1 going 0:6 one going 1:5 and one leaving after being 0:3 isn’t fun. All were low cr in a 2,1 lobby’s…… almost like that isn’t a good idea

Every negative wr healer stuck at 1800 is due to a major mmr bugs and bad teammates - period… (fresh char starts at roughly 1950)
It’s such a joy to read through the elo hell diary. As mentioned, there are flaws in the system, but if you’re semi-decent at the game or at least trying to get there it won’t stop you from achieving your goals (especially in SS).
There are regular people who sit at 30% wr just spam losing every lobby that eventually run into a lucky 6-0 (shuffle hype) just to have a mental breakdown on forums like +20 FOR A 6-0??? FIX MMR.
Funny coming from surface level (at best) skilled players whinging about a system that doesn’t even affect them.
I find it funny how I have challenged multiple of these apparent ‘victims’ to upload their gameplay so we can see how much they are ‘trolled and griefed’. Alas…zero of them have accepted the challenge. Shocked!
Well, even if youre enjoying reading healers legit complaints about unfairly and poorly designed system for healers for shuffles, at the end of the day the healers are not queing that mode if they are not having fun and like said once they realise top of that that the system rewards dps more they completely stop queing it, so the long ques for dps continue, so I dont see whats fun about that. Im self not queing even dps for shuffles cause Im not finding fun sitting in 30-40min ques, I just rather skip the mode entirely now.
So unless you are self healer and doing extremely well and honestly enjoying healing shuffles then I dont know whats the point of this. We are all hurting cause of shuffles, it hurt both dps and healers and it hurt arenas cause rated system is still entirely participation based. Honestly this should just be recognized on level what really matters instead of belittling or insulting any healers, it benefits nothing.
Like also said once already, they can get their goals 5x easier in blitz now with the same ranks from there than from shuffles, they can play dps or healer and have far more relaxed experience and gain the ranks easier. What would incentive them to play healer in shuffles. With all respect Im trying make ppl see what really matter here. Just insulting healers doesnt fix anything.
If the healer doesn’t get any MMR when a DPS that’s unhealable go’s 0-6 make sure the DPS doesn’t get any rating either. Because they don’t deserve the 4-2 win in that situation.
This is the problem btw. Healer go’s 3-3 but the DPS gain rating when a DPS go’s 0-6…
Tbh they should lose mmr and rating since they couldn’t carry the other dps , showing they are not good enough for that rating , if they can only win if the other dps carrys them.

I asked someone else in different post (which is deleted i believe?) however i Gotta ask again - i play dps (destro lock), there are 3 R1 shuffle spots, there are 34 r1 disc spots - how exactly is it more difficult for healers to get their R1 solo shuffle title compared to me? I’m competing against people who q 24/7 while i can play for like 2hours every second day and have to sit 40 min ques. Healers have almost Insta ques.
There are 26 dps speccs , you play a class with 3 of them and you are playing the least popular one. You compare it to the most popular and strongest healer specc.
Of cause there will be a difference in r1 spots. Creating a artificial difficulty that affects 0,0001% of player. Which can be regarded as doesn’t matter
But we could also mention how even destro is in such spot, the best destro is still 100 rating above the highest priest.
The highest affliction lock is 250 rating over the highest priest, who is rank 394 on the overall leader board.
So why can the best/ one of the best healer speccs played by the Nr.1 player of the specc not push higher than 5 destro warlocks who play one of the worst speccs ?
Who talks even about R1 though. We look at the whole scale of the climb and it begins with the starting mmr bracket and the inflated dps player issue who chain their 0:6 Lobby’s, towards the issue of lack of healer leading to uneven mmr games and so on. With a higher average of 3:3 , healer mmr is closer to their cr making wins less rewarding and loses more punishing.
You are a good player , you know how easy it sometimes is to chain multiple 4:2 / 5:1 lobby’s and see your mmr jump. As healer that just doesn’t happen as there is overall less mmr in the pool.

The issue is rating does not matter whatsoever. Your rank on ladder matters not rating. I can be 200 cr above a priest however i get no reward for that. This is an issue especially when it comes to inflated seasons - sl S2 randoms who never ever touched PVP got to 2,4k and can be hardstuck 2k and cry cos it looks like theyre worse while they can be actually way better when it comes to ladder rank. They just dont see it.
I mean obviously noone cos half of these forums are iron players crying they can’t reach bronze in league terms. However you fial to notice both dps and healers have their own issues and “fixing” one could damage the other one.
Cos each spec has their own ladder. Overall rating does not matter. Everyone Is competing at equal terms. Boeing unable to climb might be partly mmr issue however if in most cases its skill issue.
First round: Mage dies without pressing block, procs my guardian spirit in the opener because he doesn’t press anything.
Second round: Mage dies because he activated alter time on low hp right before I swapped him, he then let it bring him back to low hp and died.
Third round: Mage dies with alter time up that would bring him to full hp, he doesn’t activate it and just dies.
Then he dies all 3 rounds on the enemy healers team too.
3-3 for me and the other healer.
There’s an endless amount of these games and they need to fix it. He put ring of frost around my spirit instead of making it freeze me when I leave spirit, so I just got out of spirit, shadow word death and walked into the ring to put it on DR when he was on the enemy team. Like, bro?
I don’t see how your points and the topic of the thread are at odds with each other. Yes, there are fewer R1 spots for less popular specs and probably Blizzard should find a way to address this. I personally have not spend that much time thinking about a solution here. Maybe you have some idea.
KDA’s main points are about the static cut offs, where healers face a deflation of around 150-200mmr, compared to DPS players. This leads to healer churn and the high queue times.
Depends on your goal really. Aslong as rewards are mostly rating bound, rating matters for 99%.
If all rating was % bound , than we wouldn’t have the issues we have currently. But that isn’t the case. Please beware of elitist mindsets, I know you wanna act cool and stuff but it just doesn’t look good, so attempt to see it from the perspective of the majority of players not only the one of the top % like yourself. You should be a person to bring more insight to topics with your experience not deminish them
It’s always skill issue. But we are all working adults. If something isn’t worth the time investment, we move to something else more often than not.
If you are fine with people leaving , but keeping your ability to call people iron and undeserved of their rating, more power to you.
Personally I would prefer a bigger pvp population , were I can play dps with under 10 minute wait time

Well first of all my point is you can’t expect to push rating if you can’t win a game. Or atleast have more than 50% w/l. People here are often mad they can’t push with going 6-6 a day or something which is right imo.
Another point is people think healers have hard life cos getting their Elite tmog is harder for some reason. However their reward is mostly participation reward cos of how mmr works, dps have it way harder imo when it comes to getting the “real” reward.
Yes as i mentioned (i’m gonna repeat myself) overall healers have less rating however participation rewards are very low already (it Went from like 2200 ->2000->1800 afaik). So its not like getting these rewards is hard and when it comes to other rewards - other specs rating doesnt affect them so in the end IT doesnt matter if theyre 200 cr under R1 ladder. I can be 2800 destro and yet 2640 cr disc is rewarded while i’m not. So tell me whats the point of rating if i get no reward while being 150 cr higher than disc?
I compeletly agree except imo these rating bound rewards are simply too low which means rating doesnt matter (i mean yes it could matter if season is rly short with no inflation which is not the case rn) - thanks to inflation even bad people can get rewards. Which means only rewards that matter are % based - Now theres an issue - theres huge gap in rating between elite tmog and and R1 reward. (Idk actually does anyone even care about elite achiev for 2,4?). So if there were decent rewards at 2,5, 2,6, … 3k then i would completely agree rating gap between healers and dps would be issue however there are no rewards and no motivation to play beyond idk 2k where people get their tmog.
First of all i’m a casual player like most people. I play few hours weekly (classic mostly, not even tww).
Could you elaborate whats perpective of the majority of players? You get most soloq rewards for 2k (idk exact rating), you start at 2050. If thats not free then nothing is. If you get a reward for no effort then you can’t even call it a reward.

I believe youve seen what sl S2 did to everyone, Once the giga inflation ended most people quit cos they already achieved their goal and they have actually no motivation to improve + they know they will be back at their rival mmr. Some people even believe they’re good at the game cos they got their 2400 (1200 cr under r1 cutoff btw) glad. Free rewards are imo part of reason why the the game is bad.
Tbh i dont care since i barely play. However what i believe is if the game was fun people would play it. Imo the issue is mostly in class design rather than in reward system. Reward can motivate u however whats the point if the game itself is not even Boring but even tilting. There are no rewards in csgo yet people play the game cos its fun. Personally idc about my 16th glad mount tmog. Even nice mount wont motivate me if i’m not having fun playing the game.
It’s a lot easier on DPS because you get 4-2 when a DPS goes 0-6 and there’s an insane amount of 0-6 DPS, roughly half of my games as a healer this season has been 3-3, mostly because of a 0-6 dps. As a DPS you just have to not be the 0-6 dps and you get a win from those games because you go 4-2.
looked into the game yesterday after close to 3/4 months break, played a few games and got only tilted by ele shaman toolkit/ how close to every game looks like an anime opening where people blink after each other and throwing a bankai every 20 seconds after each other
na this game is more annoying than actual fun, and Tww made it even worse Smh
the cds of some spells are out of place, making the game more annoying than interesting/fun this game is a mess when it comes to class designe
combat team quality went downhill since Dragonflight, also have never seen so many class reworks within an expansion.
i checked pve/m+ even there the class Gameplay feels like worse than aion online or runescape
ur right, rewards are a nice bonus for people to grind, but people wont even start to grind when the game is more suffering and annoying than actual fun.
people value fun really high in games, so if they find another game what is fun they rather to play this game
Thats weird cos my experience is different - in most cases one of healers usually got giga gaped. You see it actually works both ways - both healers and dps can go 0-6.
