So this is probably telling us how you were able to buy so many Callous Hides in order to rank into the profittable ranksâŠyouâre literally descbring a pay-2-win situation. If you have no problem spending aditional money on a game you already pay a subscription, good for youâŠyou donât represent the majority of the playerbase, who doesnât have millions around.
I made a couple hundred thousand with Inscription at start of expansion, due to Darkmoon trinkets, like I do every expansion. The people with Tailoring, Blacksmith and Jewelcrafting also made money, because itâs easy to grab the mats, so when itâs time to sell the crafted items, you can sell at reasonable prices, so people buy them without a problem. A rank2 Tailor piece costs around 1,5k gold to make, and can be sold for over 3k, Itâs not a huge profit, but it exists, and itâs sustainable.
That is not the case with Leatherworking, where Callous Hide costs are really high, so each piece costs over 30k to craft! Rank1 pieces are sold at over 5-6k losses, because people are skipping to rank2, in order to save gold. And because of the very high costs of ranking the gear, there are very few people selling rank 3 and 4 pieces, so they completely hold the market, selling them for big over the top profits, that only âwhalesâ or those pressured for Mythic raiding/dungeon buy.
If youâre unable to understand that Leatherworking is completely broken due to Callous Hide, then thereâs no further conversation to have with you, as youâre literally the only person Iâve seen so far defending things to remain as they are.
By the way, this is not a true Legendary itemâŠitâs part of a mechanic announced for this expansion regarding Class Powers. Itâs not supposed to be hard to craft or unbelievable expensiveâŠmaybe higher rank pieces should cost more, I have no problem with a rank4 costing 100k, as youâre trying to recoup the money you put into ranking up, but on my server theyâre selling leather and mail rank4 for over 300k! In comparision, cloth and plate go for 100k. This is a problem.
