Am I the only one still feeling a bit disappointed that the buff/debuff limit wasn’t removed along with the dual-spec change?
It would’ve been a nice QoL to see some other classes try-hard to maximize their damage in raids. Not only that, it would allow Druids to cast HoT on the tanks and allow for items with weird set-bonus procs back into raids - without pushing off important buffs.
druids not being able to use hots on tanks because it might remove and important world buff is just bad design and of course it was never intended originally, it was just a technical limitation at the time.
Also debuff removal on bosses would allow hunters to use serpent sting, warlocks would be able to use their dots and so on.
This change would be great and an overall improvement to the health of the game.
It was so comfortable to play without those limits on Anniversary, that i was really surprised when found out on ERA that tanks clicking off Blessing of Light because of that limit. They should just bring it in ERA too. Never heard any complains on Anniversary about having those limits deleted. Those limits just don’t make any sense, only unconvienience
for whom? I don’t like that. It will be better to create pvp server where you have 60lvl and vendor with all gears for free. It will be comfortable for crying kinds who noticed that 20 years old game is hard.
That’s a strawman. Nobody is asking for instant 60 or free gear. Removing buff limits doesn’t make the game “easy”, it just stops classes from being artificially restricted.
We already accept world buffs, which massively reduce difficulty.
At the same time we keep a system that prevent classes from functioning fully:
– Druids can’t properly use their healing kit because HoTs take up valuable buff slots.
– Hunters are discouraged from using Hunter’s Mark.
– Warlocks have to carefully limit their curses instead of actually playing their class.
– Shamans can’t put down all Totems in the tank group, it might push off important buffs.
– No class are really allowed to DoT the boss in anyway, it’s more important cater for the warriors.
– Healers have to be careful which talents and gear they choose, so the tank/dps doesn’t get any unwanted buffs.
The list goes on.
Do you know what makes the game extremely easy? World Buffs…
It’s very comfortable raiding with world buffs, isn’t it? (check mate)
I bet most players can’t kill Loatheb and Sapphiron without world buffs, unless they go with a super heavy meta BiS geared warrior comp…
Actually, most doesn’t even attempt Sapphiron without world buffs, instead they go on a world tour and pick up new buffs lol.
