Yes it’s happening all the time and it’s so annoying please fix 
i had enough mats to hand in 9 keys to complete it to 20/20 for one of the summons in obsidian citadel, it bloody phades me to a diff shard after handing in 7 to one where it was at 1/20 …
I joined a group for the world boss in emerald dream yesyerday. We started the fight and every time a new person joined the group we got sharded causing the boss to reset. Five bloody times in the space of a couple of minutes!
This really needs to be fixed, their proposed solution of joing groups does not work. It matters not if your in a group or solo, it still happens.

Thanks for despawning Fyrakk’s Disciple not once but three times today because of sharding.
Can’t even get a Fyrakk Assault boss done for the week [still missing 2 manuscripts and the toy]… waste your time getting 100% fury just for it to phase you away as it lands.
Now barely anyone does the damn event, so when you can finally attack it there’s no one around to kill it.
Freaking unbelievable how Blizzard have yet to address this major issue 6+ months on!!! Not even a mention of it…
People aren’t bothering with the event now because of this, always seeing the progress at 0% or so…

In all likelihood it’s due to bots being incredibly prevalent causing phasing to go whack. And you know how Blizzard deals with bots, gross inaction for months.
I remember doing the rig in Mechagon and got ported just before the event ended - opened a ticket back when they had GMs and actually got the reward sent to me xD
But it still happens - fighting rares and being yeeted to shards. Last time it happened to me was during Grand Hunt - from an almost completed one - yeeted to a fresh one 
Wait, what?! So this is why the moment I arrive to an herb, click on it, suddenly the cast stops (not even interrupted) and the herb is nowhere to find. Happened with rares as well. I couldn’t get my head around it, I’m kind of a new player to post-Pandaria WoW and had no idea this “phasing” was a thing. Now I have something to aim my curses at, LOL.
Not bothered with gathering professions in eons… but iirc a resource node can only be gathered so many times before it despawns, and it despawns after a certain time once someone has gathered off it first. So most likely your issue isn’t related to phasing.
So now we got a weekly to do 3 of these events, which is awesome. It’s nice that we are having big groups doing that content again. I’m all for that!
But this phasing is taking away the fun again!
Doing a hunt, i got there at stage 3/6, we got to 5/6 then we are back at 4/6, then we get to 6/6 and are being put back to the frickin start at 1/6.
Yesterday i am waiting for Fyrakk at the assault as the bar hits 100%, i would really like the pets that can drop. He’s almost ready to call his minion when he just vanishes and we are back to 30%.
Please fix this issue!
It was doing it at Dragonbane too yesterday.
I got phased out of the soup event before the leftover appeared. It would have been a Legendary 4 soup. Very demotivating.

This is seriously pissing me off now trying to get an Ice rare off the Elemental Storms, within half an hour I automatically changed shards 5 freaking times Waking Shores!!
HOW THE HELL IS THIS ACCEPTABLE BLIZZARD??? THIS ISSUES HAS BEEN AROUND FOR MORE THAN HALF A YEAR!!!
Edit – bloody lol, finally a Rare shows up in Waking Shores after an hour 20 minutes, and it’s already one I killed in Azure Span… Thanks Blizz.

Another example yesterday. I planted a seed near Hibernation Heroes while waiting for enough people to start the fight when I was suddenly surrounded by people and obviously in another shard … we could kill him which was a Good Thing. But then I couldn’t get back to my original shard and a purple seed reward gone yet again.
We were fighting the elders world boss, as we almost down the second one we get phased. Obviously we were standing where they are so we immediatly were pulled into combat with all our cooldowns blown already, and the raid not being ready. We managed but this should not happen! Fix … this… pls!
I’m so sick of it I have logged out. It really is getting beyond it!

No known issues, but they are currently unable to make changes regarding it. So does that mean they kinda do know it’s not working great but they can’t fix it right now?
Any answer from them to us would be great, even if they can not fix it at this point, because right now it feels like we’re talking to a wall.

This is such a bad response, I’ve reported this as a bug so many times as have countless other people
This bug is seriously pissing me off… love wasting half an hour to get Fyrakk Assault to 100% solo just to end up phasing to another shard with 0% progress as Fyrakk was flying over…
And the CS says “there’s no problem”… paying a sub for this crap.
Bad enough the manuscripts have an abysmal drop rate, I have to put up with this nonsense on top of that.

I agree with OP.
I still remember being transferred in Mechagon during reclamation rig event to the inactive one.
The thing was - I used all the currency to activate it.
SOMEHOW
it was the time where GMs were human and I was sent a reward in mail after opening a ticket. Still my fav interaction with the GM who totally understood and could check that I was in fact doing the rig and got sharded.
Sadly, I assume it’s not possible anymore.
