Poor customer service when already poor game quality

Boy am I glad I don’t need GM assistance right now then.

Sorry that happened to you its a real crappy thing to have done by mistake.
At least it’s not going to affect your RL.

I think they’ve cleared a lot of that backlog now but I’m not about to create a fake ticket to check

A number of people lost their 15th Anniversary buff and the only way to get a new one is a ticket.

How about you stop making pointless tickets and flooding the queue with your requests that they’re clearly not going to fulfill. It’s your fault, your responsibility, and Blizzard should not be refunding gold to players who can’t use their gold properly. Stop making tickets. From what I read Blizzard gave you excellent service in this case, but you’re just being super difficult.

They have rules and they kept to them, even if it was extended to 24 hours you wouldn’t have gotten your gold back and you still have a lot more gold than most people. Breaking the rules can get a GM sacked.

Contrary to popular belief, the customer isn’t always right.

Change your title as it’s wrong. Also, why make that many tickets when it was obvious from the first one you weren’t going to get your gold back.

Personally I disagree with both. The customer service was actually very good and in this case it is very much caveat emptor.

Customer service did all within their power.
OP is at fault.
OP made the purchase.
OP waited way too long.
C.S. can’t do anything after that.

I thought the buyback tab was all there was, had no knowledge of any 2 hour rule. This could really be abused: Buy any expensives you want and toy around, then get a refund.

I definitely don’t think this is a case of bad customer service. They answered every ticket politely and explained the reasons why you couldn’t have it your way.

This might be a harsh but good lesson learned for life. Now you hopefully know to keep your cool when you’re tired, drunk etc and not act headless. This was virtual money miss spent and no real harm done, in all honesty.

This is decent customer service. You’re just acting like a kid because the outcome didn’t go your way.

The problem is not only did they buy the item, which then appears in your bags, they also learnt it.

It’s unfortunate when we make mistakes. Sometimes there is no go back button :frowning:

Yeah. Buy any mount and toy, have fun for 2 hours using it to your heart’s content and then get a refund via ticket. Very generous rule that surely could be abused.

Many times in my life have i wished for a back button or reset but it doesn’t work like in games…

From the wording of the FAQ I don’t think items that have the return to vendor as an option are eligible for refund via a GM. It’s only items that don’t have that.

So it’s the same as buy back tab? Or?

For example going to the plate vendor in Northrend Dalaran

If I buy an item and then look at it in my bags it shows this

So I literally just sell the item back to the vendor and get the same gold back that I spent. After the two hour period it is worth significantly less if I choose to sell it.

There is even a pop up to check you want to get a full refund, for example if you do this with transmog items you will lose the appearance again.

As others stated. That’s not a bad customer support, they were polite in their responses and informative. It’s not bad just because you didn’t get what you want. Those people have to work according to the rules or they might face consequences.

Buying items that are this expensive gives you a confirmation window where it asks you if you realy want to spend that much money. You weren’t paying attention and just bought everything that was available from quatermaster. It’s a good lesson for the future to pay attention more when you do that. And maybe focus only on buying stuff you actualy want/need.

I dont normally reply to very many posts on this forum, but in this case I feel like I should. Mostly because I really disagree with the OP.
You bought an item for 400k, and I get it, that’s a lot of gold for sure, but blaming custumor service just because they arent refunding it to you, due to a rule they actually have to follow, is just bad form.
Custumor service in blizzard is, in my experience, way higher quality that most games I’ve played. And they were very polite, even after you sent them several tickets, despite the fact that you should’ve known after the first one that it was impossible to get that refund.
And no I dont think they should bend the rules just for one person, because if they bend for one person, where do they draw the line?

Ultimately I think the OP should just take the lesson learned here, and maybe pay better attention to what he buys in the future.

I know it sucks to accidentally spend more than you meant to.
But you got excellent customer service from what I read.

Don’t be a Karen.
Its not bad service just because you didn’t get your way.
They were kind and patient with you.

it’s your own fault for being so otherworldly smart and not noticing your gold after what you bought

Who’s Karen?

Excuse me I want to speak to your manager.
I will get you fired for not knowing who I am! REEEEEEEEEE

Thats a Karen.
