So some people from my country have asked me to start on a PVP server. Of course citing the decades-old argument, that it has more population. Now not many people play from my country so choosing pve realm means I can’t play with them.
In general, at least 50% of people who enter pvp servers don’t like world pvp and just enter because of population. Some rogues and other “gankers-at-heart” convince them(these “sheep”) that that is the only option to play authentic wow experience. Then they pray on these deceived people while they are leveling.
This is why it destroys the experience for others too.
I hope this time PVE servers get a normal population.
Usually PVE servers bleed people, like if you played on PVE servers long enough you would see a trend when low pop servers die people are afraid to move to another PVE server because they think it will just delay the inevitable and they dont want to relive the painful experience of playing on a ghost town server or server hopping that cuts social ties.
Its going to be different this time because of megaservers. Take SoD for example. Yes the population of PVE mega server there is twice less than of PVP but its still more than of entire era population combined.
PVE megaserver is the future

We don’t need to have enormous population anyway, just enough to have some raiding guilds and for people who reroll, not to find it impossible to go to dungeons sometimes.
