Population per server

I saw a few weeks ago someone linked in a forum I found either on the EU or US forums that shows all the numbers of classic servers alliance and horde ratios and the total amount of players per server. It even showed what percentage of that server are from what countries. But I can’t find it again, no matter how hard I try.

Does anyone know what I’m talking about and if so can you link it, or something similar to it please.

You mean this?

7,5 million characters in Classic world wide. That is quite a lot to be honest. If an average player has 5 characters, that makes 1,5 million players.

Now, I think these are far from accurate numbers but it shows that Classic at this point is at least as popular as BfA

If you click on the name then it says about active and inactive characters.

This popualtion thing can’t be right. The one I saw was different it looked like it was done on Excel or something.
But I’m on Zandalar Tribe and it always shows population high, and for 2 weeks now no matter what time I log on there isn’t a queue, yet it shows that Zandalar Tribe has a bigger population than Firemaw, yet that server always shows full and always has a queue to log on it. It shows that my server Zandalr has a bigger population than servers that are listed as full and have queue times going into their thousands. But theres no queue for Zandalar… I’m logging into Zandalar now at 6pm and no queue only high pop, and I log into firemaw at the same time now and it’s full with a queue time of 4600+. Even Mograine a server I have alts on has a queue al lthe time yet it shows it has way less pop than Zandalar.

Like I said, click on the name in the paragraph and it shows inactive characters.

Those totals on the main page are total characters, not those logged in at this moment.

I just clicked and saw the active players,
Zandalar active ali 34k horde 27k
Fire active ali 23k horde 32k
Zandalar only ever high pop, Firemaw always full. Even now it’s queue is 4600+
This chart is wrong with active players too.

What part of IT’S NOT LIVE don’t you understand?

Also, it is only as accurate as the uploaded data, so less uploads, less accurate numbers.

The excel spreadsheet was a survey that a minority of the playerbase took part in and it relied on people voting before launch where they intended to play.

The site that Dottie linked works off actual data from the game. It does however rely on people using the census app and uploading regularly.

There should never be a queue unless the Realm is Full. There is nothing to queue for when there is room for more players.

As popular as BfA? Are you kidding? x)
Watch bellulars video. Classic brought around 25M players back worldwide.
The number is not exact but is somewhere around there. Blizz themselves said Wow is at its highest subscription-count EVER this month.
So yeah, its more popular than BfA with around 200k players x)

I’ll explain it to you m8.
wowpop shows how many characters has been seen online during the last 30 days.
Zandalar Tribe has had a HUGE dropoff compared to others servers with the same amount of characters seen. Its probably cuz most retail-people rolled there.

The number comes from an Addon that scans the server everytime you are online. Then they upload the data and it combines all of it. So the numbers are pretty accurate. But as I said, there has been a huge drop off Zandalar Tribe.

Pretty neat! I have not heard that one, where did they say that?
If that is true, then WoW :open_mouth:
