Population split is close to even in EU

Did you exclude PvE servers?

No, I went by the list in IFP so the sites could be compared.

But the PvE servers are included in the BG queues, so I see no reason to exclude them either. I kept it unspecific on purpose, because the more you start splitting the numbers up into categories, the more annoying it becomes to interpret.

The addon has been fixed long time ago and is working perfectly fine.

You are aware that ppl on PvE realms are much less participating in BGs than on PvP realms? I see several to many untitled players on my realms - all PvE + RP.

I guess you haven’t run it recently. It’s broken, I just reloaded it and tried it. Then again you are posting on a Retail character, and I have no idea if the retail version works.

Irrelevant to the point of the thread.

What you said is just to provide a possible reason for it, but it doesn’t refute it.

I was not refuting, but trying to explain - I actually agree with you. I’ll try to express myself more clearly.
If people (in this case on PvE realms) do not have titles does it then not follow (or is a consequense of) them not queuing to AV ?
PvE realms are Alliance heavy we all know.
And so /therefore it might be a god idea to exclude PvE and RP realms from your sample.

Sorry if I’m unclear or foggy. 2 reasons: I’m not English-speaking and I’m not doing any PvP whatsoever.

ETA: It does not matter if the split is even if the realms making it even are populated by PvP-abstainers.

Why?
They’re still part of the matchmaking pool.

What you’re suggesting is just a change suited to your narrative.

My point is exactly that though. That one faction, overall, has more ppl limiting themselves to PvE than the other side.

ETA is short for Estimated Time of Arrival, so not really sure what you meant there.

You think I am? Most people playing WoW in EU aren’t native English speakers. (Which is part of what makes xrealm such a damn mess, in vanilla the language groups had a tendency to pool to specific servers. I know a person who said many on his faction & realm were Turkish players, which is an example of it.)

Yes but if relatively less of them are participating, then the matchmaking pool is still Horde-heavy.

ETA is also short for Edited To Add

What do you mean?

Not really. Maybe it has become a small thing where you tend to post, but it’s not recognized as such by most.

https://www.abbreviations.com/ETA

Yeah, and it shows the source as the internet, while the world as a whole has a vast majority recognizing it as estimated time of arrival. Which is at the top of that list.

Basically it’s not normal to assume it refers to “edited to add”, it’s specific knowledge by some people. Not by most.

I care to disagree, It’s a normal forum abbreviation, and contrary to other strange words abounding here like for instance pepe, balinda and such, you can look this one up in a normal dictionary - or even Urban dictionary which is my to-go place for strange words and abbreviations. If you want only words used and know by most, not only by some people you sure have a full time job in this forum

That’s taking it out of context. It’s not common to use ETA on this forum when referring to “Edited To Add”, so that’s 1 thing speaking against you.
It’s not common to see ETA used as “Edited To Add” in pop culture as a whole either, and that’s a huge thing speaking against you as well.
So no, most people simply will not understand you when you use the abbreviation with that meaning. It’s not normal to assume they would understand it either.

There are norms specific to certain places though, like only twitch viewers would understand the twitch emotes in plain text. Others would have to go out of their way to look it up, which is again not normal to assume people that has never visited twitch would understand.
Then you’ve got the old 4chan stuff and so on as well. Many different places have different cliques forming their own norms.

Well is this then up to your standards?

Yes actually I thought you’re English. Mostly it’s only young monolinguals that uses diacritical marks in their names with no real understanding of their function as sound modifiers.

I’m not.

I used it because Beware as is was already taken. Was merely a means to an end.

When I was leveling in phase 2 (on Razorgore), it felt like either Alliance are at least equal in numbers (60 level), or they are much better equipped. Have been killed more times in 2 months, than in 4 years playing Vanilla, TBC and WotLK.
That changed later, and I was seeing more Horde than Alliance in BRM. Also, usually see only Horde ganking in Chappel FP. I don’t approve. But every time I get the answer “you are playing in wrong type of server". That hurts my feelings. I used to farm in STV, 40-50 kills per day. But not half life or no mana opponents.
Be like Predators. Hunt for sport.

I’m more of an Alien type of player. I see body heat, I kill.

These countings are completely defeated by the fact that only logged players showing up on IF and from my personal experience, on alli side you just have to be 59+ to be insta recruited And dont even have to be a trial for a few raid because of the player shortage in the faction. On ZT guilds already started to merge, that bad the situation is.
