This is not intended to be a bug report, but rather I would like to hear if anyone else has experienced this.
Today shortly after server restart all of my character’s gold disappeared - back to zero. I was in an instance at the time it happened.
So, I’ve had a similar problem. I went afk last night for around 15-20 mins. I believe I had 9g when I left. I came back, brought some stuff back from a vendor for a guildie and looked at my gold only to see I had 3g. I don’t remember buying anything before going afk, well nothing that would come to 6g anyway.
Let me guess, you guys just leveled up and went to the trainer xD
Err… yeah … I err had about 5000 gold, logged off and logged in again then it was all gone.
So if Blizzard could just give me the 5000g back we’ll call it even and say no more about it.

No, I had like 12 gold when I leveled, did some crafting and brought my skills. Ended up with the 9g, honestly it’s not even the fact I think I’ve lost the gold it’s more the fact I have no idea where it went.
Crafting mats and training cost maybe?
I mean that’s what I though, then I added up all the stuff I brought. 2 maybe 3 new abilites, about 60s each, maybe a max of 1g worth of crafting mats, and the 50s(+maybe another 50s for recipes). That only adds up to a max of 4g. Even if I did only have 9g to begin with 2g is still missing.
IDK what to tell you then, other than you’re basically describing what happens when I look at my bank balance near the end of the month. 
Haha, I wish that was the case. Like if I knew where/what I spent it on, I wouldn’t be bothered at all, maybe I’m just going mad…
While I believe it’s definitely possible it’s a case of PEBCAK (I indeed did go to the trainer just before the run), I however purchase abilities very selectively since I’m saving the 100g needed for the mount at lvl 40.
I had much more than what the training would have cost. It would be nice to have a way to track a character’s gold flow in game.
I am actually quite surprised a level 26 got 12 gold, what kind of farming where you doing?
Even mob grinding would get you far higher to get that amount of gold at this level …

I’ve been buying skills very selectively, also I’ve managed to sell quite a few of the items I’ve crafted on the AH. I’m starting to wonder myself, if it was just a UI error saying I had 12 gold. But, I thought nothing of it since one of my guildies has a similar amount of gold at around my level.
I hope you’re being serious, Gold fraud is extremely illegal and will likely get you arrested. My brother is still in jail because of that.
Guys, try to sleep atleast 6h every 24h…

If you have no idea how you’ve got that amount of gold, then certainly you did not have that kind amount of gold.
The inflation of the server is just not high enough to get that amount of gold through AH even at that level.
All the quests rewards combined with 0 repair, skills and arrow’s for the case, would yield only around 6g total, add random items/vendor with super luck, maybe 12g total as whole, at 26 with no grinding.
So having 12g just like that out of no where or any special economic tactic, very unlikely …
I’m 26 as well and I have 11-12 gold, it’s not that big of a deal lol
Ok , real glad I found this, I tweeted out to my listeners today , that I thought something weird happened with my cash.
Now I didn’t have much only level 14, but I did same, went to under city , did a few things,
And last thing I wanted to do is by a couple of skills…
I had in my memory about half hour before , I had around 75 silver…
So when I went to get a skill that was just 6 silver it was greyed out and I’m like “wtf”
And here is why I think something has happened…
my cash was 0, Zero, and that’s what’s weird… what are the odds of ending up with Zero cash, it just don’t add up.
I did very little in town , yet I’m sat on nothing, kinda disheartening tbh, I grinded yesterday to get that cash.
But I’d definitely say something is not right.
Man im 28 and im siting at about 20g rn, not buying skills i dont need, not buying from AH, just vendoring and selling stuff that i know they sell good…
