Just because you dont agree with a point doesn’t mean wcl doesnt either. Have you been to their discord channel and talked to anyone?
I highly doubt they will make changes and waste time, effort, resources and money on something they don’t agree with just because they are annoyed and say “screw it”.
The game cant kill anything, players evolved and want to improve and the way to do that as of today is with dps meters and logs. I would suggest you go play classic but even there you have dps meters and logs (and different logging such as with world buffs or without, now similarly to with pi or without).
So I dont know whats a good solution for your sadness other than literally devolving into someone who ignores logs and meters and pretend they dont exist.
PI should be self-cast only. NGL it sucks giving it to someone else, unlike spells like innervate (which I’m already not a fan of tbh) you’re sacrificing a power-boost on yourself to put it on someone else. But as a healer it’s pretty much always better to put it on a DPS than on yourself.
The other thing I hate is that on the rare occasion that I decide to pug a raid I always get someone bloody whispering me begging for PI so they can get a higher parse or some BS like that. Pugging is already a hellscape, this extra annoyance is not helping whatsoever!

i wont comment on its current design… as tbh i’d prefer it to be self only usuage and i basically use it exactly like that, but at the end of the day why does what happens on a 3rd party site matter to blizzard or the actual game?
I think it’s important to discuss both points in tandem because at the end of the day they both affect us, the players of the spec capable of providing those buffs. You yourself said you dislike the current state of the spell on Shadow.
This response feels disingenuous, especially when it’s clear from their own post that they do not consider the problem solved (Nor do I), as the problem was never with the 3rd party sites to begin with. It was with PI’s implementation not being symmetrical.
As I said on a personal bases I agree with the idea it should be made a self only buff. I do aknowledge a problem.
The bit I find weird is the player thinks that it’s affect on warcraft logs is somehow blizzards job to fix.
It’s annoying that blizzard introduced something which so obviously will be toxic in the hands of the playerbase. But he was spinning around a argument about wowlogs trying to exclude PI logs from their site. Which isnt rly relevant to the game itself.
It’s half the reason I remain on the fence with the class. The ability has apprantly gone as far as actually ruining guilds due to arguments over who gets PI.
However it’s affect on wowlogs I can say isn’t rly the problem I have with the ability. Although you could argue it’s affect on wowlogs is the reason people don’t like it.
It’s affect needs to be baked into VF realistically.
Suspose the extra fear would come from if they delete power infusion with no compensation.

Because as a Healer I don’t want Power Infusion. I always actively look to give it away and contribute to damage.
Look at my parses all you want, I don’t care. I just like to give PI away and let someone have fun blasting quick and hard. It never helps me as a run-of-the-mill Healer who does not look to parse until the content becomes easy to parse in and the group lets me.
Now if we talk only Shadow, that would be fair.

I think there’s a reasonable assumption that these topics are centred on shadow. I’d even settle for not being able to cast PI on myself, making the spell a pure utility spell, and overall damage being rebalanced accordingly (or add a smaller haste buff to voidform).
This is a warcraftlogs problem, not a priest or game design problem.
Would be fair to specify then, becauese Priest has more Healer specialisations than damage.

Its even more fun to give PI to a fire mage when his cooldowns have just run out. Especieally after he demanded it from you since he was top deeps.

This is why I will level a night fae priest… I have the power to increase dps a lot… But you have to be good to get it.
