Can someone explain these Pug leaders? Do these people just brainlessly follow what others say and do?
And don’t get me started on the achievement requirement.

I’m requiring 4K to give you the authentic experience of Wotlk.
How do you think it was back in the day?
haha i’m pretty sure I saw someone requiring 3900 the other day.
I’m not chocked honestly, it will get worse with each content.
Put them on your ignore list and find another group. Naxx is so easy that it can be done with green items…
FWIW requiring 25 man heroic ICC gear to get invited to a normal 10 man ICC run was not entirely uncommon back in the day.
Incredible stupid certainly, but not uncommon. Cause gearscore is a terrible measure of anything.
actually preraid bis is 3700 not 3500 lmao
gearscore typically indicates whether or not the player is familiar with their class and/or has experience in raiding. its not perfect – not even close actually – at showing whether or not a player is capable of clearing content, but it is the ‘best’ method for increasing your chances of a successful pug.
ergo any guild demanding their players have X gearscore for the first ‘tutorial raid’ for any expansion is doing it wrong.
No it doesn’t, it just means they followed a guide online on what items to get.
The only thing that indicates if a player is good or not is checking their raids a.k.a. raid logs.
I think its to attempt to make the game relevent to them
Casual guilds are clearing content easy enough, how would you feel if you took the game as serious as they do…and some part timer is clearing the same content as you are with less gear?
You would have to try and make it seem like your not wasting your time and being silly wouldnt you? You would try and appear cooler than others wouldnt you?
GS /flex
in the case of requiring a higher gs for naxx than what HC’s offer, gs does exactly what i said it does
Pugs will always require nonsense. Just because people don’t know each other and try to compensate a lack of communication with high GS
Pugs are created to 1 schoot bosses and gear up raid leader , not to progress
WTF is this post, i cleared the whole naxx not having anyone on my group with more than 3kgs xd
Maybe the raid leader wishes to have people with better gear than pre-raid so the raid goes smoother & faster? I mean you’re always free to make your own group, or join a guild.
I’d take the higher GS’d char over the lower one any day of the week. I spend a lot of time on my character so I want to play with people who are similar.
The “muh socshul hexperience” crowd everyone.
The 213 pvp gear also contributes to your gs while they are mostly worse than the 200 ilvl heroic. Gs only says what ilvl gear you have, not what kind of gear. In the end, a bad player with good gear is still a bad player. Except if u play a dh in retail.
I don’t care for social interactions with pugs. I don’t raid with pugs to socialize, that’s weird.
snort
Says it all dun it.
Full pre-raid bis is closer to 3700, not 3500.
Yes, you can clear naxx with 3200gs people, its no issue. If you want to run it as fast as possible, you should however not invite those people. The groups which require 3.7k likely assume you have already ran naxx earlier and thus have some items from there.
Just look for another group which takes people with lower gear and join those. Or host your own run. No need to make an issue out of a non-issue.
